Poll: Which would you prefer for the re-wrte of The Blood of Heroes when I begin uploading them Vote Now!
Author has written 5 stories for Gundam Wing/AC, Escaflowne, Naruto, and Magic: The Gathering.
I feel I need to add something in here instead of making a serious rework of my profile:
Have I up and died? Obviously not
Am I still writing? Yes, or at least I'm trying to.
So what does this mean for my current works and future works?
Well Power: Redefined is undergoing a very slow but very significant work-over, I'm not exactly re-writing it as the plot will stay exactly as it was but the text is being cleaned up, the speech is being altered to say basically the same thing while being more 'in-character' and I'm filling out the details to bring it to life more. A Startling Conclusion is staying exactly where it is, it's done and I don't have any plans to expand it or make a full story out of it. Starting again... I will probably start again ;p, but truthfully it carries all of the same issues as Power: Redefined and many more besides. Company in Gaea... eh I don't really know about this one, I started it with no clear plan in the first place and 7 years on I still don't have anything more. That leaves Lord of Slivers, the original Naruto/MTG crossover story (for this site), this story has always been flitting around in the back of my mind but I have yet progress it further, hopefully I will soon have a chance to sit down and look at the story, probably clean up the published chapters and adjust the grammar and details to improve the story, so am I planning to continue? Most definitely yes, when will the next chapter be seen? I'll get back to you on that.
Now for the 'upcoming' works listed further down:
Dead - completely stopped and not restarting Unlikely - I'm not likely to continue working on this but I might Likely - I will most likely pick this story up but it's not certain yet Definite - I will be continuing this story... just don't as when yet.

If you've found this page by reading a fic; thanks for reading, I have intentions to finish every fic I start but some times I just can't get there or mess it up and can't think how to finish it anymore, if that happens I may put them up for offer if it's up for offer I'll let you know on here and you can either give me an idea for how you'd like to see it finished, you will get credit for it I promise you that, or I mat let you finish it yourself, if you ask me and I haven't responded and you check here again and it's gone then I've either given it to someone else, been given some inspiration or found new inspiration myself.
Thanks for reading, if you read one of my fics please give me a review and tell what you think, good or bad isn't important to me as long as it's what you really think.
Current stories summaries and status:-
Power - Redefined: Complete at chapter 24 (it's crap I know but it's done)
The Blood of Heroes: Re-writing/stalled
On the night of the Kyuubi's attack Danzo uses the 8-tailed snake and the shiki fuin to create a jinchuuriki for his forces. He is discovered due to the sealing process releasing a large amount of chakra and the new jinchuuriki grows with Naruto.
Status: Scrapped. Too much has changed to make this viable any more.
A Chance Awakening:
During Naruto's fight with Gaara the sand pinning Sakura to a tree constricts and the pain forces her to wake up. Sakura then bares witness to the fight between them and her opinion of Naruto changes.
Status: Way on the back burner but not quite scrapped yet
The Heir of Fire:
Smoke of Fire:
Given a gift and trained in the true ninja arts by an unknown stranger Naruto becomes smarter and stronger and begins to reshape the ninja world into a dangerous world.
When killing the clan Itachi decides to kill Sasuke as well and then kill himself and Madara at the same time. These events completely change the path of the ninja world.
Status: Almost abandoned
Missing Hokage challenge:
Perfect Lionheart has issued a challenge and I've deiced to take it up. This is what happens when Konoha exlie the reason Tsunade returned to Konoha.
Starting again: Scrapped
Company in Gaea: Scrapped (someone nicked my DVD's so I haven't watched it in I don't know how long)
My rant corner:
I've been through the Naruto section dozens of times and keep finding terrible stories, really I find that most stories fall into any of 4 main categories which I will now detail:
Bad plot, bad writing: The worst of the worst, a super-powered Naruto either with a mary-sue or a harem, basically; I can't think of my own ideas so I'll follow canon but make Naruto this all powerful being that can kick the snot out of Orochimaru, Pien or Madara with his eyes closed standing on his head and is written along the lines of: i spel all my wrds lik im wrtin a txt 2 ma m8 cuz i cant spel or fnd da shft key bt usually hit the CAPS LOCK HALF WAY THRU. (As a later note; I feel this is kind of hypocritical of me as looking back at it Power: Redefined wasn't really that much better than this)
Bad plot, Good writing: Not as bad as the above, it's usually well written and the characters actually develop at least somewhat, usually has Naruto with immense power but has a few slightly harder battles and at least a respectable reason as to why he's like that.
Good plot, Bad writing: Again they aren't too bad, I have something of a love/hate relationship with these since I find that the imagination behind the story is good, the characters develop quite well and they aren't able to walk over any enemy like they're an ant but I tend to find that it takes me twice as long as it should to read them because I spend half my time translating the damn thing so I can read it.
Good plot, Good writing: These are the kind of story you're likely to find on my favourites list, Naruto is at an equivalent level of power for the time in the story, which in and of itself may start along the lines of canon and then diverge later or may begin completely away from canon and return to it briefly before once again disappearing off on a new tangent. Naruto being super-powered or god-like is perspective to his enemies, just because he's stronger than the cannon enemies that doesn't mean he's stronger than the enemies the author can add in for him.
I'm also sick to death of Naruto/Sasuke romance stories, now don't get me wrong I have no problem with homosexual relationships I just find that the number of these stories has been done to death and then some and very, very few are even remotely original anymore, most are just the same spam told a different way.
Some advice for all aspiring writers:
I have 2 key points for all aspiring writers, first and foremost is spelling, grammar and detail; more people will want to read a story when it's spelling is good so that they don't have to try and understand it, proof read your own work at least 4 times before uploading it, yes it takes longer and you mightn't reach that once a week deadline you set yourself but it'll bring more in if it's well spelled and more accurately detailed but updates once every 6 months, irregularly than has abysmal spelling, is poorly detailed and is updated on the same day once a week with a chapter no more than 500 words long.
Second is the most important point; What makes a good story? That is a question I've asked myself hundreds of time when writing anything from an opening chapter that I didn't continue from right up to power redefined and blood of heroes and even to the stories I'm just generating ideas for.
The answer is 2 fold; first is conflict whether between the good guy and the bad guy in an all out no-holds-barred war, between 2 characters for any given reason and within a single character and their own emotional, moral and mental conflicts. The second is failure, yes everyone loves a good success story but it never feels quite as good as it does after watching the hero fail several times in the process, Rome wasn't built in a day and they never did invade Scotland. It's these factors that make the story of Apollo 13 such a good story, they never made it to the moon but no-one lost their life.
Final notes - A good hero: The key to a good hero isn't always someone who has all the luck in the world or is so powerful no-one can stop him. Truth be told the best heroes tend to have an unbelievable amount of bad luck, that is usually countered by a single piece of good luck when it's most important.
