![]() Author has written 79 stories for Stargate: SG-1, StarTrek: The Original Series, Teen Wolf, and NCIS. I like sci-fi in general, and Stargate and Star Trek in particular. In Stargate I like the Tok'ra best. I find their duality fascinating and very interesting to read and write about. My favorite character is Martouf/Lantash. I love the dual nature of the Tok'ra, and I much prefer stories where we meet both host and symbiote. While Martouf is a wonderful character, whom I wish they had kept using in many more episodes, I was always sad that we did not see more to Lantash on the show. Of course, I would have wanted them to survive, and I still hope they will be brought back in a future movie! The same goes for Selmak. Jacob is an interesting character, but I actually prefer Selmak, and would have loved seeing them use her much more, instead of focusing almost exclusively on the host. Jolinar is another favourite of mine, and I would have liked to see her survive and stay in Sam. Having them as a part-time member of SG-1 would have made many of the situations in the episodes very interesting - and different. I would have loved seeing how it would have played out, with Jolinar's added knowledge of planets and people. Additionally, we might have had the opportunity of seeing her with the Tok'ra, perhaps going on missions for them and showing us more about the internal structure of the Goa'uld society. I don't like how the Tok'ra (and many of the other characters) are portrayed in the later seasons. Up until early 4th season, the Tok'ra seem to have been meant to be good guys and are great allies (they do continue to be good allies all through the show - giving SGC many technologies and helping Earth again and again, despite getting almost nothing in return). Later, the Tok'ra are written more and more as Goa'uld, and less and less as friends. The Tau'ri, especially O'Neill, becomes more intolerant and irritating in the later seasons as well. I thus greatly prefer the first 3 seasons and consider the later seasons to take place in an alternate universe. The way people act are simply not consistent with their earlier personalities. Speaking of alternate universes; I find the idea of alternate/parallel universes, time travel, and changes to the timeline to be endlessly fascinating. The episodes of Star Trek, Stargate, and other sci-fi, which deals with these concepts are often among my favorites. That is why many of my stories also deals with these ideas. My stories (including several not posted here) can be found on Symbiotica (tokra . fandomnet . com). It is a fanfiction archive for Tok'ra-related stories. I mostly read fanfiction which is about the Tok'ra and/or the Goa'uld (Stargate 'verse) or the Vulcans or the Romulans (Star Trek 'verse). These are some authors that have written stories I like a lot. Take a look at their stories! AJFilewood And yes, I probably forgot several great authors who have written stories I loved, so I will likely be adding more to this list soon! |
