An Agent of Chaos is inbound.
"What the hell IS the Codex?" - The SHIELD Codex is made of crossover SHIELD/Loki stories that became necessarily somewhat AU because I didn't have enough patience to wait for the Season 1 finale and goofed up a few details. Then I went running with it. It's not a wildly off-course AU; there will be no high schools or tales where Coulson is actually from Equestria. SHIELD Agents are Agents, only the timeline and certain events are jerked around for the sake of fun and my sanity.
Characters in the Codices act and react as they might in their canonical forms, and Loki's grown some slight self-awareness at the edge of a chainsaw. He still has the majority of his attitude problems, and an ego made of superdense material. Also, I like throwing in random comic details and unlicensed cameos. Anyway, consider it like the Marvel Cinema Universe of Earth 199998.97 - canonical behavior and typically I act as if canonical things occur, but at this point, if I try to hew to exactly what's going on in the AoS show, I will lose my damn mind. So, Loki's presence is a change agent.
Codex list in chronological order -
(1) A Clear and Present Loki (introductory, horror)
(2) Rolling Thunder (closer to being a SHIELD case, horror, sci fi)
(3) In the Bleak Midwinter (Holiday semi-fluffy one shot)
(4) An Honest Man (crime drama, sci fi, Guardians of the Galaxy crossover)
(4.5) Stitched (one shot, family fluff, Disney joke)
(5) An Agent of Chaos (SHIELD spy procedural, Avengers member cameo.) Posting start date is soooon.
Missives from Misrule and One Second, Frozen in Twilight are stories I mentally consider prequel to the Codex. They are not directly linked otherwise.
