Hey, I'm IncessantOblivion, blah blah blah. Can't be stuffed writing anything about myself, but I will tell you I'm 25, female and Australian. I'll read anything that's well-written with a decent storyline. I won't read anything with bad grammar or OOC-ness. That just frustrates me to no end, and that is not a fate to which I wish to submit myself.

I'm a full time University student with a short attention span so if I don't update, that's pretty much why.

My Work:

I have recently (if recently can still refer to over six years years ago) completed A Whisper in the Night. I am planning a sequel for this, but am writing a few Interludes first (mainly to emphasize the time-gap between the two stories). I have completed my first Interlude - Exceptions - and am now beginning the next, The Rulebook, which focuses on Ino and Shikamaru. For all the A Whisper in the Night fans, hang in there! I swear on someone's grave that it will come...sometime, possibly not before the world ends.

As some may have been painfully aware, I've been out of action for a long time now but I'm slowing returning to my glory days of updates every week. It is annoying how life and laziness obstruct a cause as noble as writing fanfiction, but I've come to terms with it and have accepted that in my old(er) age updates shall be few and far between.

Story Updates:

A Whisper in the Night - I stopped editing this fic halfway, so some names I changed may confused some people! Sorry! I'll sort it out one day...probably...

A Shadow in the Darkness - I'M SORRY. I know I totally dropped the ball with this one - and I had such great plans for it too! I guess I still do. Sort of. Well, I plan to re-watch the entirety of Shippuden during my next end of year uni break, so who knows. I might just get inspired again! We shall see.

Exceptions - Look, I know this is my most popular fic so it pains me beyond belief that it's SO sexist and ugh, I can't even read it anymore. I recall writing something about it at the beginning of it, a disclaimer of sorts stating 'I know this is sexist AF but I was young and impressionable and stupid at the time - I'm better now, I swear!' Point is, look. It's still a fun fic, but please don't take any of it (or the underlying attitudes) seriously. I beg of you. I know I should probably remove it but I can't bear to after I spent so long on it and because it does have such a large following. I'm selfish that way.

The Rulebook - Amid cries for updates, I feel I should let you all know that I only stopped writing this because I lost the USB that had most of the latest chapter on it. As fellow writers will know, there are few things less depressing and annoying than losing something you've painstakingly crafted, knowing that you will never be able to word what you've lost the same way twice (especially when you thought it was awesome haha). I might pick this up again some day, because I feel the Ino and Shikamaru pairing need some love, but I'd be overhauling how I planned to write it because the whole premise was centred around some sexist bullshit (just like Exceptions LOL *cries*).

Enemies By Design - I highly doubt I'll ever finish this. It's just too complicated for me, unfortunately. It was all about politics and spies and all that jazz, and as much as I enjoy thinking up stuff like that, I find it boring to write. So. Yeah. Sorry.

Together - Bellamy and Clarke are still a fav OTP of mine, despite all that's gone down on the show in Season 3 (or maybe because of it? Who knows). This will be quite a grand affair, if it ever gets written. Maybe I'll get back onto it once I stop being so single-mindedly obsessed with sports anime.

Tolerance - I still adore the Sterek pairing, but I sadly no longer adore the show itself (I mean, how dare Derek leave! What is even the point anymore?). This was only going to be a five-chapter fic anyway, fairly short and sweet by my standards. I don't have very high hopes for finishing it - I have too many other unfinished fics with greater followings to attend to first!

One on One - Yes, this is a oneshot but one with a high possibility of sequels. You know, Rounds 2 & 3 *wink wink*. The people over on AO3 are crying out for sequels and I have always been susceptible to peer pressure.

Hold You Down - My Ultimate OTP, IwaOi, will be taking up the entirety of my attention for the foreseeable future. I have very grand and specific plans for this fic. I am currently highly motivated and my attention firmly fixed. I've planned it all out and it's looking to be fifteen chapters long at this point. Fifteen LONG ASS chapters, that is. It is me we're talking about here.

Grammatical Note: For those ignorant few who do not know: Australian grammar is different from American grammar. I am Australian, but I went through an American high school system - complete with STATs, which is unheard of down here. Then I went an did a partial English degree in an Australian university. This means my spelling and grammar will be an annoying mix of American and Australian standards. It's one of the things that bugs me the most about my own writing (along with my lazy plots and overuse of commas - detriments I am attempting to rectify!), so sorry for all those fellow Grammar Nazis out there who may tear their hair out as they read my meagre offerings, screaming at the monitor: "Why did she go from using an 's' to a 'z'? The inconsistency of it all!" "Why is there a comma before 'and'?" (depending on whether you're American or other - you see what I mean). And so on.
