Author has written 14 stories for Crossing Jordan.
This is supposed to be something about me. Let's see...
About series: First of all, I am a Crossing Jordan fan. I also like the CSI series, but not that much. When CJ was cancelled, I started to watch Bones, but it´s not the same, although I like it much more than CSI. However, Criminal Minds is much better than CSI and Bones all together I also enjoy Law & Order SVU and LA
Dexter, that's one of my favorites, I absolutely love Dexter, is the best crime-forensic show on the screen for the time being. As long as I've been watching season two, I can tell that this is one of the best shows I ever watched, where you can see deep and well developed characters, horrifing revelations of human nature, and the caring side of men, all put inside of a lovely psycho killer. Lovely, lovely Dexter.
Now, I think that the best ongoing shows are Modern Family and Breaking Bad. Sofia Vergara and Bryan Cranston create great characters, and the entire crew of both series are magnificent. However, what I like the most are the stories. Modern stories, relevant, deep, beautiful, horrible, true, hilarious, just great.
When I was younger I loved to watch Mad about you and then The Wonder Years. I like The Simpsons, a classic. And belive it or not, I used to watch Drake and Josh (That because of my sons, who were fans of that show). Home Improvement was a blast.
I'm also a SciFi fan, and one of my favorite shows was Sliders. You see? What I like the most on a series is the character developing and the originality on stories.
About literature: I like to read, and I have been reading since I was six years old. I love Science Fiction (I became a reader after I discovered Verne's books), Spanish Literature (mostly Realismo mágico), English Literature (I was a big fan of Sherlock Holmes when I was a kid), Universal Literature, I love Poe, Wilde, Tolstoi, Unamuno, Dickens, Borges, Rulfo, Kafka... I adore poetry. I’ll stop here, since there is not enough space for my list.
About music: Rock! U2 is the best. I like so many bands... I'll list just a few: Radiohead, The Beatles of course, Dylan (I know he's not a band, but he is The band), Santana, Pink Floyd!, The Police, Yes, Marillion, Rush!, Led Zeppelin, Queen!!, Van Halen, Metallica, The Who (That´s why I started to watch CSI), Bon Jovi, PEARL JAM!, Green Day, The Killers, The Raconteurs. Some bands in spanish: Café Tacuba, Fobia, Soda Estéreo, Caifanes, Molotov, Calle 13. There are a lot more... I also cherish Serrat, a Spanish poet and singer.
About movies: Movies are my biggest vice. I love all kinds: from Hollywood, European, Classics, Sundance films, Cannes awarded films…. Horror, romance, adventure, SciFi, author films, light films ... I just don’t like those silly ones about nothing. I just re-discovered why I loved Woody Allen's motion pictures so much. I love the guy, he's a genious.
About Life: I like kids, but just for a while (borrowed, as says my mom). I worship teaching young people, they find everything exciting! I love urban life as I love Nature. I think Life is such a thrilling journey, and you have to get the best of it. I admire people that propose new and stimulating stuff, who are congruent to what they believe. I find tolerance the most effective way of life, humans aren’t made alike and diversity is our strength.
About me: I’m married, two kids, three dogs. I'm a Chemist, I'm Mexican and my name is Aurora. You can visit my livejournal named auruspurus.
Amelia Bianca Black and I are developing a new writing project together. This project is named Joyce Quinn. As a Crossing Jordan fan, you may know that she is the ME that Jordan performed at one Cavanaugh-representation of a crime on the episode of second season, Strangled. But to myself, this name has a further implication. I'm also a SciFi fan, and before my beloved Woody Hoyt appeared on the screen, there was Quinn Mallory (Q-ball), from the series Sliders (one of the best SciFi series). So...
Final Update: Sorry for that, I don't think Misterious Ways is going to be finished. This project is just forgotten.
