Correct spelling of some words in Australia, where I am, is different to correct spelling of some words in America. I will be using my own local spelling conventions. Thank you.
I am utterly open to other people using my stories as plot bunnies, fleshing them out differently and turning them into new stories. You don't even have to ask permission, though that's nice, and I'd really like to get a note from you with a link to the fic, so that I can let my readers know about there being more of some story that they like but I've stopped.
I am not generally inclined to write sequels. If I say that a story is complete, then that is what I mean. You are free to ask me to write a sequel, but I am unlikely to be accommodating unless a rabid plotbunny simultaneously makes the same demand. The greater the time that passes, however, the less likely this is to happen.
As me writing a sequel is (as already stated) an unlikely event, please refer to my earlier statement: feel free to use my stories as plot bunnies - try writing your own sequel, I'm sure you have a good idea of what you would like to see happen next anyway.
Also, reviews make me happy, even ones that are purely critical, because they let me know where I can improve.
Oh, and one more thing:
Suspend Disbelief All Ye Who Enter Here!
Because sweethearts, it's called Fan Fiction for a reason.
The Little Prince is something I should have stuck in here a while ago, and to make up for my tardiness, I'm sticking it at the top. It's by LunaStorm, who is an excellent writer, and an inspiration to me. It just so happens that this story was inspired by something I said once. Not a plot device, as such, just a comment. A very basic idea that I shared, and Luna ran with it - to fantastic effect.
An Adventure by Skystrider is a two-chapter fic based on my own "The End of the Beginning" - and frankly, I'm thrilled with it. Skystrider's a great writer who knows their Ranma 1/2, and I'd be impressed with the fic all on its own, that something I did inspired it just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside on top of that enjoyment.
When people ask me for sequels to my one-shots, I generally decline personally and invite them to take up the challenge themselves. Aka-Baka Hoshi took me up on that, and wrote Skills Kept Secret as a sequel to my fic "Double the Strife". I admit to having to read it twice, and then reading it a third time because after reading it twice, I decided one more time for the thrills.
I have FANART! I'm thrilled. No one has ever sent me a note (out of the blue I might add) saying they'd just randomly done a fanart inspired by one of my fics before. This has made me very happy. It's Shokunin Hiei (aka Harry) from my fic Ring Around the Wrong Neck, and the fabulous artist is MizukiYumeko. This can be found over on deviantart, with the name of the art piece being the name of the character, and I'm thrilled. Can you tell I'm thrilled? I have FANART!
I have MORE Fanart! My second piece of fanart is by thought95, again, over on deviantart, and it's just so darn cute. It's called 'Nibel Wolves', and is inspired by my fic Tales of the Nibel Mountains. I'm all squiggles and squirms with how happy this makes me. It's a picture of Cloud with his Nibel Wolf parents. I really cannot get over how cute it is. I just can't. I don't want to.
I still cannot get over OMG FANART! I have been sent a link (again, out of the blue - because, seriously, I never see these things coming) by gerbilfriend that, once I took out the spaces, linked me to the picture they'd drawn of Uzumaki Mao over on deviantart. It's just called 'Uzumaki Mao'. That little blue dress that gerbilfriend put her in is just so cute.
There is now a German translation of Calculation! Props to Nici for skill in the language department. I'm completely open to people wanting to translate my fics, and plenty of people have asked (and been given permission) to do so, but Nici is the first to have followed through and send me a link to put up here. So for those that know the language (or are learning), check it out! My grasp on German is poor, having not used the language since high school, but it looks good to me! Now, again, this link won't work, because the host site that Nici has used for the translation isn't this one, it's over on fanfiktion dot de. I do have the link though, so if anybody wants it, PM me, I'll send it full of gaps so that it won't be vanished out. I'd put it up here, but there's a whole lot of random numbers...
There is now a French translation of Calculation! Props to PetitMary for language skills. To all of you who know (or are learning) French, check it out! My grasp on French is about on par with my German, and that's only because (even though I haven't really touched French since primary school) a lot of the "Bastard Language" (English) shares a common history with the "Lover's Language" (French). Still, it looks good to me!
There is now a Russian translation of Calculation! Props to Alarinka for language skills. Notice something different about this announcement? Yeah, links not included, because (like the German translation) it's not here on FF. It's over on ficbook (also a dot net) instead. ficbook dot net slash readfic slash 4890626 is where you can find it, or you can just put readfic/4890626 into your search engine, and that will pop it up. Now, I have... no idea about Russian whatsoever, apart from that the alphabet is awesome to look at. Those of you who know/are learning Russian, go have a gander! So much easier than all the random letters and numbers that fill up the link to the German translation.
There is now a French translation of A Bad Day! Props to chylou34 for both skills and willingness, as she's also going to be translating the sequel. When that's done, the link will also be posted here. I'm so excited. I want to say more here, because I have for the other translations, but you know my poor language skills already, and the link works. So... Just go read it, if French is something you can or are learning to understand.
My Tumblr, also has some stuff. Quite different stuff though. I Tumblr... erratically, but it's usually interesting. Lately I've been putting up plot bunnies that I don't feel able to write. It is thefringeperson dot tumblr dot com. Not asking for follows or any of that. Just getting it out there to those who are interested.
I also have Twitter. That's (now, let's see if I can actually get this link to work...) @crossovernut - initially, it was just a place that auto-copies my Tumblr, but I'm starting to use it a little more for other things now too. It still updates every time I put something on Tumblr though.
There is very little that surprises me more (especially in such a pleasant way) than to be trawling through the favourites list of other people on this site and find my own work in that list. I really just put my fics up and hope that other people will enjoy them, maybe send me a review saying they liked something about the fic. To actually be trawling people's faves list (which I do a lot), and find my fic there, or more than one of my fics there, that always, always catches me off guard and makes me smile.
It's a little embarrassing though, when I read a title, and a summary, and go "oh, that looks interesting" and I go to click on it and then notice that I'm the author. Clearly, I write too many fics if I can't immediately recognise one of my own in someone else's fave list.
Thank you all so much for reading my stories! I love you!
