Hm, where to start...
Well, I guess I'll start off by saying that I'm a guy, and while I enjoy writing, I can't seem to write worth a crap. XDDD I've written a few chaptered stories that fell flat on their faces in the past, because I just couldn't seem to maintain my focus, and then after a while, I'd just let them stagnate. Go me. -_- All I really seem capable of is one-shots, but I hope to change that... Eventually... I'll get around to it someday! In fact, I'm working on that right now. XD;
I mostly take interest in games, anime, and music, but I have a fairly wide palette in those. As far as writing goes, I for some reason really dig romances, or straight up crack, and am also an incredible sucker for happy endings. My point of view? The world already has enough sad endings, so I'd like my hobby to have happy endings. Different strokes for different folks, though. Drama and angst is a lotta fun to write too, but feels way too easy to get carried away and just end up with your characters flailing around and slitting their wrists. The line between and angst and emo is way too thin... Or maybe that's just me. XD
Just to kinda illustrate how wide my taste in music goes, well... Let's just say that among the artists I listen to, there's Devildriver, Kajiura Yuki, Pendulum, Vocaloids, DJ Dean, AFI, Disturbed, Hammerfall, Dr. Dre, Perfume, Prodigy, The Killers, Kamelot, Ne-Yo, and a plethora more. That's not including the random stuff I listen to, like game tracks, and stuff like the Caramelldansen. I have the freakin' leekspin and that This is Sparta extended mix on my iPod, for crying out loud.
Yes. I listen to weird crap.
To anyone who has been following my stories and is disappointed at the lack of updates, I sincerely apologize. I've been going through RL stuff (won't bore you with the details, but it's nothing horrible; just ordinary stuff like changing jobs and such) for a long while, and by this point, I've actually lost my momentum. Like, I'm out of practice to the point that I can barely string a sentence or two together for writing. I haven't given up yet; I've had my ideas written down, just haven't been able to take the time to actually write out anything resembling a story.
I hope to warm up with a few one-shots first before I get into anything else. I think most will be additions to The Hangover and Other Misadventures, but a few others might be standalones for other genres. I personally feel I'm weak when it comes to writing stuff not in the humor genre, but hey, I figure the only way to work on a weak point is to actually try.
Unfortunately, I do think that I Will Never Be Yours will have to wait a bit longer; as I compiled ideas, I think it's become apparent I'm being a little too ambitious. At the moment, I'm trying to trim the fat, but also trying to make sure that the timelines and such stay consistent. Sure, even professionals have inconsistencies or handwave details all the time, but I don't think it's a habit I want to get into if I can help it.
I hope this is helpful, if only as a reassurance that I'm not dead yet and that I am still interested in working on writing. I'd like to thank everyone that has taken the time to contact me, whether checking to make sure I haven't lost interest or just to leave a kind review, and I hope to get back into writing sooner rather than later!
