Poll: Ever since learning of extracanonical Evangelion ladies Kaede Agano, Satsuki Ooi, Aoi Mogami, and Maria Vincennes, I've been toying with the idea of at least doing one-shots with them. What heroic identities do you think they should have? Vote Now!

Author has written 29 stories for Inuyasha, Evangelion, Ranma, Love Hina, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, She-Ra, Princess of Power, and Ghostbusters. Age: top secret Nationality: American Likes: anime/manga, sci-fi, fantasy, cartoons, video games, TCGs, art Dislikes: sitcoms, vegetables, anything that is too predictable or unimaginative Favorite Anime/Manga: InuYasha, Naruto, Ranma 1/2, Evangelion Favorite American cartoons: Transformers, Thundercats, G.I. Joe, Silverhawks (ah, the old-school classics!). I also like Dungeons & Dragons (Peter Cullen may be famous for Optimus Prime, but his Venger is so good at being so evil!). Notes about my writing style: For the most part, canon and I don't get along very well. On countless occasions, I have found myself disagreeing with a show/book/game/movie/anime's creators about the relationships, who ends up with who, and so on. I also see a lot of possiblities that aren't used, ideas I come up with myself. As for my writing, I only have two basic rules: 1: Try to stay true to the charecters. I may not always succeed, but I will always do my best. 2: Remain within what is feasible within the rules of the universe I'm writing about. I won't suddenly have the Bone-Eater's Well work for just about anyone for the convenience of the story, or have Unit 01 sprout a dozen cannons just because I think it would be cool. Aside from these basic rules, as far as I'm concerned, it's anything goes! Just remove the spaces from the link. www . pat reon . com / OPax09 List of anime/manga protagonists I have to love! (AKA, my Favorites List!) Misato Katsuragi (NGE): One thing you have to say about our favorite fan service : That woman is a survivor! Anybody who thinks that all she knows how to do is sit around and drink should ask those JSSDF creeps she dealt with in EOE. No way have we seen the last of her! Toji Suzuhara (NGE): He may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but he does stand up for his friends. And despite the fact that his piloting career was cut short, the fact that he got into the Eva for the sake of loved one totally wins me over. InuYasha (InuYasha): Yeah, I know, it's kind of obvious to choose one of the lead charecters. But InuYasha has been through some tough times because of the way he was born, and I can understand that. Sango (InuYasha): Tender for the most part, but strong in battle, Sango's lack of paranormal abilities often leave her being overlooked. Big mistake!! Naruto Uzamaki (Naruto): No matter how hard life comes at this ninja, he bounces back for more! Hinata Hyuga (Naruto): Being different can be difficult, no matter what your background. Just ask Hinata. Carrying the power of the Byakugan and expected to become the next head of the Hyuga Clan, the pressure has always been on for Hinata, and it has been difficult for someone as shy and gentle as her. But I'm glad to see her coming into her own, and proving her own strength! Ryoga Hibiki (Ranma 1/2): The eternal lost boy has had a lot to put up with in life, what with being cursed and always getting lost. And through it all he has persevered, wishing only to be happy and to get the opportunity to pound a certain pigtailed martial artist into the ground! Alphonse Elric (FullMetal Alchemist): Poor Al is always being overlooked in favor of the flashier Ed, just because he can use alchemy without circles. But excuse me! Not only is Al an alchemist in his own right, but he is also incredibly caring and compassionate, always perseveres when his brother is ready to throw in the towel, consistently whups his brother battle (whether as armor or flesh-and-blood), and in the final episode, totally saves the day and his brother's life, thwarting the evil Dante in the process! Al is not weak! He should be the star of the show, for he's the real FullMetal Alchemist! Shinobu Maehara (Love Hina): This shy young was devesated by her parents' divorce, their closing down the restaurant where she had lived and worked, at the loss of her entire way. But with a little help from Keitaro, she took this bad situation and made the best of it, becoming the top cook at the Hinata Apartments. Motoko Aoyama (Love Hina): A difficult woman to get to know, even more difficult to get close to, but a person of sterling virtues and staunch friend once her loyalty is earned. List of anime/manga protagonists I love to ! ( AKA, my Bad List!) Asuka Langley-Sohryu (NGE): She's the Red Devil. Do I honestly have to say anything else? Ryoji Kaji (NGE): A total creep and a womanizing two-timer who does not even remotely deserve Misato! Kikyo (InuYasha): Sorry, Kikyo-lovers, but she's been on the Bad List ever since she forked over half the Shikon Jewel to Naraku! Kagome: You know, I originally wasn't going to put Kagome on my Bad List, but after watching the third InuYasha movie, where she tricks him into putting the Beads of Subjugation on acting like his wearing those beads was a good thing really ticked me off. Miroku (InuYasha): A perverted lecher of a monk, a sneaky con-artist, blackmailer, and irredeemably wretched pervert who totally doesn't deserve Sango! Sasuke Uchiha (Naruto): Sasuke betrayed the entire Leaf Village, ran off to train under Orochimaru, all because he wants to kill his brother and he couldn't stand being weaker than Naruto. What does Sakura see in the creep, anyway? Jiraiya (Naruto): So what if he's one of the Legendary Sannin? He's still a dirty old man and a hopeless lecher who spent all of Naruto's money on women and booze! (Another womanizer. Hmm, I sense a pattern here...) Sakura Haruno (Naruto): I won't spoil it for anyone, but the actions Sakura took in Chapters 458 and 459 did some serious damage to what respect I had for her. And the stunt she pulled in Chapter 469 not only secured her place on my Bad List, but made me decide to pull Ino from this listing! Now that's really bad! Genma Saotome (Ranma 1/2): Happosai's student learned too well from the sneaky old goat. Just how many times has Genma sold his son in order to get a free meal or something? Seriously, it's no wonder Ranma turned out the way he did. Nabiki Tendo (Ranma 1/2): Soun's scheming middle daughter would sell out anyone in order to make a fast buck. Tatewaki Kuno (Ranma 1/2): Poetry spouting buffoon who thinks every woman should bow down at his feet. Another womanizer... Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist): There are three reasons why FMA failed to make my list of favorite animes. Ed is reason number one. The little shrimp is shorter than his temper, throws a fit whenever someone implies he's anything less than gargantuan, has an outsized ego, is very cynical, is prone to fits of depression and the occasional persecution complex...honestly, his only redeeming features are his abililty to use alchemy without circles and his love for his brother, Alphonse. Roy Mustang (Fullmetal Alchemist): Meet reason number two why FMA failed to make the cut with me! Roy is a real slacker when is comes to paperwork, is a total control freak, often kept vital information from his allies, and had stolen just how many of Lt. Havoc's friends by the end of the series? Yup, another womanizer, I love to loathe them. What does Hawkeye and the others see in Mustang, anyway? And don't even get me started on his role in the Ishbal Massacre and how he killed Winry's parents in the anime... (Just for the record, the third reason FMA didn't make the cut with me was the all people that got killed off in the series. Especially Marta, a great charecter and potential love-interest for Al.) Yurika Misamaru (Nadesico): Why, oh why did the powers that be decide to pair Akito up with Yurika, the biggest ditz in all of anime? She makes Mihoshi from Tenchi Muyo look like an intellectual giant! I was hating her from the first episode, listening to her complain about her uniform. But what truly cemented her place on the Bad List was when she decided to abandon her post as captain to follow Akito and leaves a doll to take her place! Personally, I agree with Ruri; the doll could do a better job... Akatsuki Nagure (Nadesico): A creepy sneak and spy of a pilot who s anime and anime-lovers! Oh, and did I mention that he's a womanizer? Naru Narusegawa (Love Hina): Quite possibly the nastiest, most fickle, violent, and thouroughly deranged woman in all of anime. She's even worse than Asuka! Something I would never have believed possible! |
