My current profile picture is one I found on a vietnamese Fullmetal Alchemist FC on facebook. Even Fullmetal has reached out there; manga sure is amazing x Anyway, his name is Edo-chu so please treat him nice and feed him apples and ketchup when he so likes. Please don't give him any milk, it makes him pissy xxx
Here is some news updates on the stories I am writing:
When you're gone series: The first story, 'When you're gone' is complete and it's sequel, 'The Little Things Give You Away' is discontinued for now, for the fact that I have too many stories on the go, but I may write and update this story whenever I am bored and feel I can't update other stories. I doubt there will be a third story to this, but I do have a storyline in production for this sequel story. It's going on a crime mystery edge, but I just need to think of how to utilize it into a story. It's all a jumble at the moment.
I'm picking this one up again now instead of the Coma Dream series. I have been writing more chapters, and I've felt more inspired to do it. Since for this writing all you need to do is go on the computer and you're not relying on words from a notebook, you feel more at ease and content with writing it.
As I shall say for the Friends crossover, I'm going to rewirte the chapters, only this time I'm rwriting the chapter that are already up, for the reason of a better and improved writing style. Basically, it has occurred to me that the reason no is really reading it whenever I put new chapters on is because the first lot of chapters are rubbish. So, what will happen is I'll put a proper notice up, or tell authors who I know have reviewed my stories that I'm taking it down in a few days, do so, and then start putting up new chapters as I write them. There won't be a major change in storyline, but there will be some noticeable changes that I'm sure won't stray too far away from the original storyline that I've had in mind. For one instance, Pesha's name will change to something probably more suitable. For those who don't know, Pesha is Edward and Bryony's son, and for those who don't know who Bryony is can find that out in the first fiction When you're gone. It's The Little Things Give You Away that I'm rewriting. As a further notice, When You're Gone was the first story and also resembles my bad writing style at the beginning of my fanfiction career, and so shall not be rewritten, despite how bad it is. It's just fine as it is in all honesty, and so shall stay how it is. But the sequel will be improved, as I have said.
The Coma Dream series: This goes for the story, 'Second Heartbeat', which is complete and still receiving reviews so I hear (80, the most i've received on one story). This is a Fullmetal Alchemist and House MD crossover that turned into something more big time. I've quite enjoyed the whole storyline invention for this one, and also all of your reactions to the story plot twists, of which I am proud of. You've all reacted to my expectations here. Lol. Now, as you all know, I sort of left you on a cliff hanger here, which gave opening to a sequel. Sadly, it did not reach 100 reviews by the end of the year, but there are still people reading it, so maybe I might complete that mark over time, I don't know. I might not even be so lucky as to get 100 reviews for this story. Well, as long as people are enjoying it, that's all that matters. This story started out last October from a documentary I watched and the thought of combining a Tv series I had just started watching.
The sequel, 'Artificial Deviations of Absolute Memories' is up and running on the site, but only has 1 review. Now, I think this is because not many of you have seen it up on the site at all and it may be because of my lack of information on when it was coming out. Well, it is up and it is expected to have less chapters than the first story, but coming up to the 40 odd range. This one is 13 years after the first story ended, so it's a more, "What happened after that" story. It is again going to follow the plot of prophecy that the first one entailed, although this comes through a person's dreams, and not through someone being stuck in a coma. I am hoping for more reviews on this one too, because, to me, 1 is a little pathetic. But of course not insulting the readers. Get reviewing!
There is expected to be a third story to this one, as the second one will leave off on a cliff hanger. I'm not going to say much about it, but if you look through the second story, then you may find clues. It's prophecy after all. I have also decided to go for a new writing perspective, which came to me after reading 'My Sister's Keeper' in the summer this year. So, I have decided to go for a first person writing technique for them. It will not stay as one solid character throughout, but switch point-of-view every chapter. Admittedly, this will have less House referencing than should be necessary for a full FMA and House corssover, so it may just be a normal FMA story with a light House crossover, so you may not find it in the House MD crossover section on this site.
The latest news on this one, is that it is being discontinued for now. I'm starting to lose a little heart in it, so it my be a while before I feel I can start writing it again. My style has changed since I last wrote the chapters down in my notebook, and to be honest I've gotten pretty sick of my amateur style. So, discontinued for now. It may be revived after the completetion of my Matrix crossover, but that could be a while (over a year even) and I wouldn't hold me to those words if I were you. Maybe your support through reviews on the second story (Artificial Deviations of Absolute Memories) will revive my confidence in it. But honestly, you don't have to.
Slave of war: This one is not going to have a sequel to it. Again, like with the When you're gone series, I will pick it up evey now and then. I have written so many chapters on paper, but have not typed them all up yet on the computer. At the moment, I am not sure how I am going to end this fiction, but I may get back to it all in due time. I will update later, maybe upon 'Artificial Deviations of Absolute Memories' completetion, any news upon picking up stories such as this one.
News update: Discontinued for now, as mentioned above, maybe after the Matrix crossover. I want to thank you all for those who have been reviewing and reading still, it's great that you like it so much. It gives me more confidence as a writer. This one is probably more likely to be picked up again than the story above, but I will have to find out the notebook for this, which I know I have hidden somewhere in my room. Trust me, I haven't thrown it away.
As you all know, and your story alerts will tell you, I have been really busy writing and updating the Fullmetal Alchemist and Matrix crossover The Clier Path; this of course means i've been neglecting everything else. But, let's face it, i'm really into the crossover right now, and my mind is burning with plot line and twist opportunities for it. So, why have i been telling you this in this section? Well, it's because this news has as much to do with this fiction than it does with the matrix crossover. You see, i've decided that, once i get to a halfway point, or even when i finish, I AM going to pick this fiction up again and rewrite it chapter by chapter so that it is up graded to the style that i'm employing at this moment in time. I may decide to change some plot points in it, but mostly it'll stay the same. With the reviews i've been getting from you guys saying how great this story is, it's given me some heart and helped to decide that it'll make this story better by revamping it. I won't be taking the story down though, i'll just be updating it. Once the Matrix crossover is finished, you have my permission to PM me like crazy shouting and screaming "Ok! It's done! NOW will you rewrite this bitch?!" My answer? Of course, my child, of course i will. Anything for you guys.
The Cafe Series: As some of you will know, i recently put up a oneshot called The One That got Away. Anyway, since it at least got a review, and after replaying through my whole song list on my mp3 player, I've decided i'm going to turn it into a series once i have finished with The Clier Path and the rewriting of Slave Of War. Of course, this will mean that thing will take a while to come out, but that won't deter me. I feel that after a lot of crossovers over the past year, it would be good to get back to the heart of the matter and do a proper FMA series, no crossovers or anything, plus this way i'll be exercising a media i haven't touched upon in great detail, except for oneshots; the almighty songfic! There's a lot of relevance that you can find in songs these days (at least on my playlist) that can be connected to Fullmetal, so as a consequence, you'll be getting a great insight into what i listen to on the bus all day in the school rush. I've even started some plans for them to take on a musical project. Nothing with lines like out of a play, just the songs, with the songs being related to the situation of the characters and what's happening outside of the project itself; it's because of this that i've already chosen the musical they will pick on AND the cast list. You may be surprised at the choices i've made, and for character shortages they may have to play more than one part, but they will serve a good amount of their purpose, along with bringing a surprise pairing to the field o_O! I won't say anything other than this, i'll just tell you to be expecting it.
I got the idea though to do something like this after rereading a favourite story of mine, even if it's m-rated, called Better Living Through Alchemy by Skydark. She showed me that a series can be great even if it is a lot more realistic than the original franchise. The pairing works, the characterisation is beautiful and both the narrative and characters are witty and hilarious. To be honest though, she is a 22 year old (thereabouts) so we won't hold it against her, ey? It's truly great, of course though, you should read The Adventures of Roy Mustang: Sex Ed Teacher first and, as suggested by the title, you should be 16 to read it, but it's very good either way. I haven't seen anyone write m-rates like she has. The only failings are the careless mistakes she makes in spelling and such. If anyone wants to correct her, i'm sure she'll be grateful, not that i mean to be too admonishing.
DN Angel associated fictions: Finally, we are at the DN Angel portion of some of my fan fiction works. These have been discontinued permanently, and will not be picked up again. This goes for Sleepover fun, which I think has been deleted anyway. I'm no longer affiliating with DNA in my stories, but instead I will just read the new manga volumes that have and will be coming out and occasionally watch the anime (because we all love Vic Mignogna obviously).
On another note, I have come up with lots of ideas at the moment for Fullmetal alchemist stories. I have wriitten one, which follows the idea of Edward and Alphonse having a half-sister, but it also follows the idea of an EdX?, EdX? and and EdX?. Three unknown pairings, which are slowly revealed throughtout the story. I've not finished writing it, but I don't know when it will get added onto fan fiction.
I have ideas for crossovers as well, such as FMAXNeighbours, which, if written, will be the first fan fiction with a crossover with Neighbours. I even have an idea for an FMAXMatrix, but I need to work out the storyline, such as whether it will be a yaoi. I have worked out the whole logic to it, but it just needs a storyline. I also have an idea for a friends crossover going on, but I got writer's block in accordance to that one. Like the the sequel to When you're gone, I have the whole thing down in my head, I just need to think of how to put it all down on the screen and where and when I should introduce it. It's all a muddle for now. I just need to finish off some stories and then I'll get right on with sorting them all out.
I hope you're looking forward to some new stories from me so, keep reviewing!
Death note crossovers: Me and another fellow author will usually come together on this sort of category, since she is an epic death note fan, who has the unfortunate inabitlity to not get all the Death note merchandise because of the amount of pocket money, but I know that if she could then she would. Anyway, We have written a prologue together for a Death note and FMA crossover, but that's about it, so I shall not put it up until a further storyline has been established.
We have however come up with another one, well I did last night, and it was her idea to turn it into a Death note crossover, which seems to be going well so far. As far as we know it is a Roy Mustang centric story, and it is based on the wonder of what would have happened if the Ishbalans won the civil war and not Amestris. We're going to include some racial issues too, to keep it realistic, and Alchemy is seen more as something that Amestrians are born with and don't need transmutation circles for anyway. Basically, Ishbalans are the rulers of Amestris and Ametrian Alchemists are seen as pure scum. We thought it would be something fresh and different as a crossover, so we're going to give it a shot.
As for news on both of these crossovers, we don't know what's happening. We're trying to come up with a storyline for the first one, but getting nowhere, and I got to the middle of chapter 3 in the second one, but got stuck in a rut, so I don't know yet. I'll tell you if anything else will happen with this one when it does.
Friends crossover: Yes, I am the first to write one with Fullmetal alchemist, quite a surprise for myself, but I felt I could, and so I did. I have written 12 chapters in my own time, though there are only 3 chapters up at the moment. I won't release them all at once, just slowly and one at a time, so that it gives you guys more time to comment. Anyway, I'm not sure how writing any more chapters sounds at the moment, because like the When you're gone series used to be, the storyline's a bit of a jumble. You see, this is what happens when you don't write them down in a notebook.
Anyway, thank you for your reviews so far, I love them all, so I will dedicate the 4th chapter for those who have reviewed so far. "One of the coolest crossovers" was one of the comments I got, so thank you so much! On if i'll update, we shall see, but it should be in the near future.
Here's some news considering this fiction. I have got a lot of chapters done on it, but I have decided that sometime, maybe not soon, I'm going to rewrite the chapters that I haven't put up. This is due to a change in writing style as well as an improvement of it. I don't know when this will come in, but I reckon it'll be when I've completed at least one story on here.
Thanks for the recent reviews, and the good ones considering my writing style as far back as chapter 1! For the reviewer who said 'Now here's an author who can take a challenge...' you haven't read my Matrix crossover then, and thanks again for it. Please keep reading.
Matrix crossover: That's right, I have begun the writing of chapters for a Fullmetal Alchemist and Matrix crossover. I have written two chapters, but it may be a while before I feel I can put it up yet. Still, it's the first of many, as I haven't seen any at all on fanfiction so far. No news on the storyline, but I've had a lot of thoughts about it.
News update: I have put up the first chapter of the FMA and Matrix crossover! It is called "The Clier Path". and there will be a reason later for why it's called that. I am going to follow by the world of the manga, and to be truthful, the updates will be few and far between, since the GCSE exams are coming up. To be honest, I haven't developed a lot of the storyline, but I may be able to write down some notes in between and during revision sessions. Lol. Anyway, please review, and as before, thanks for the reviews on the Friends crossover, please keep reading.
Helpful critism is great and all, but no flaming, this is a new crossover after all. But hopefully I will stay true to the characters, well since I have a beta reader to help me out on that, I should be good. And don't worry, there will be plenty of Agent Smith. But I'm not sure on whether I will make use of the Homunculi, but I will figure that out for future chapters. Please Read.
I know it has been a while at the moment since I've updated, and so far there are only 3 chapters up, but at the moment I'm suffering from LBS (Lazy Beta Syndrome). But, when he does get the job done, he does it really well, so I can't complain much. And besides, he's the best source of Matrix information I have so far, so he's irreplacable. To be honest, I could've had him do it the week before last week, but he was away on camp, so that was impossible. But, he deserves a break here and there for all he does, so hopefully, this week, we'll get a chapter up, even if it is only one. Thanks for your patience!
Chapter 4 is now up, but one of the reasons why it took so long was because I was in the hospital for four days, and when I came out I was laid up on the sofa for a few days. But, now that I have the energy, I've come to the realisation that I should get this one done some. Anyway, I've lost my beta-reader, but I have the internet as well as some other people to ask, so I should be ok. The 5th chapter has been written as well, it's been checked over by myself, and since I'm satisfied with it, I'll find some time to put it up next week or the week after. Thanks again for the review sent in by Nyghthawk. It was your review I received after I came out of hospital, so it really kept me in high spirits. I'll dedicate the 5th chapter to you when it comes out, so I hope you won't mind that. Thanks again. xxx
Thanks again for the beta job you did on Chapter 5, Nyghthawk, you did an amazing job, and i'm sorry i haven't credited you on it yet.
Anyway, Chapter 6 may not be up yet since it is NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) this November, which Nyghthawk is participating in. This does give me a chance to write more chapters (now on Chapter 9), but it means I can't update until the beta-reader has given it that final OK. This will be mentioned in the author's note of the coming Chapter 6. Also, be prepared if Chapter titles start changing randomly, it's because I've found a source from which I can name them (in other words I've been listening to Avenged Sevenfold profusely and it means that I'll probably name the chapters after the songs and their relevance with the content of that chapter. To get a feel for the relevance between song and chapter, listen to them on Grooveshark or something. If you already own the songs then good for you and listen loud! Avenged Sevenfold are awesome, one of their patches on my school bag shows it). Thanks to all who have been reading and reviewing, I will keep up the hard work. Your reviews are keeping me going!
News Update: For reasons personal, I'm on the lookout for a new beta-reader. Recruiting has already started, and the new beta-reader will be announced in Chapter 9, and you'll know because the chapter will be dedicated to him/her. Hopefully, though the story has been going at a good pace, I know some of you have been hoping for the plot to really get going, and as you can see, or have been reading in any case, you can see that it has.
News Update: I've decided to go it alone! I wasn't able to find a beta-reader who would be willing to do it because they either A) couldn't find the time or B) either knew of fullmetal and not Matrix or the other way around. It's really hard to find an exclusive kind of author on here who has such a varied taste as to know both Fullmetal Alchemist and The Matrix, apart from me obviously. It doesn't matter though. So far now I've been writing the chapters, checking them through thoroughly and then putting them up. It's been alright so far, and there have been no complaints, so that's alright. I'll go it alone for now.
So far Chapter 14 is very almost complete, meaning that i'm keeping ahead of you guys in terms of the updates and the writing itself, this coming from the fact that you guys have chapter 10. The storyline now has a definite direction, but the storyline is long, and you'll have to forgive me if the pairing starts to take over the plot a little. I know that it irks some of you, but heck, if you have complaints, then you start writing a matrix and fullmetal crossover and then you tell me how easy it is to write one! It's not. I had to figure out a lot of concept to make sure everything fit perfectly before I could do it. I'm being serious though. I've set a standard now, and if you feel confident enough to overstep the mark, then i invite you to do it. Come on! What's life without a little healthy competition, hm?
Chapter 18 is slowly and surely being written, the sad thing being that it's taken me almost a month to actually write. But it's getting done. Anyway, on with the main news: Chapter 16 is now up, but there will be no new updates until all of my exams are done, so please expect Chapter 17 to be up around the 18th or 19th of June. I have already notified you all of this, but just in case you didn't read right down to the bottom, this is a little notice to make sure you all got it. Good luck to the rest of you with all of your exams and thank you for your patience. I know you don't like to be kept waiting when I decide to not update for three weeks because of an extra long chapter, but this time I have a legible and genuine reason for this. Let me just sum this up in a way that you'll all understand: AS Levels are a bitch! Lol, saying that though, can't wait for the A2s. Anyway, between revision I'll be trying to complete Chapter 18 and writing some more chapters (which should be a lot easier after 18) for you all. I'll just say that I'll be really busy this month so don't expect too many miracles from me. But thank you all the same for your reviews; they are very much appreciated xx
I'm sure many of you enjoyed the joyously childish doodles of Roy Mustang that were found by Havoc in Chapter 15, so I've decided that, with exams almost over, now would be a good time to draw them up for you, just to illustrate what they look like. It should give the fiction some extra humour. Once they're done, I'll put them up on my deviantart account, as I've mentioned below, the account name is daisukebebop. I'll let you all know on here once they're up, so don't forget to check!
Now that the summer holidays have started, I'm going to use this time to write more chapters. I will, however, not be updating during this period. I'm going to write as many good chapters as I can and then start updating as soon as school starts. This will mean that I'll be chapters ahead, free of stress and ready for school to start. So even if I complete a chapter, it won't go up at all yet, not until I say so. I will, however, also be writing oneshots between chapters and putting them up so that you have something to read while I'm writing chapters. Might even update my deviantart profile if I find the time. But rest assured, if you don't see any updates, it's not because I've given up on it, it's far from it, trust me. Anyway, as a little update, Chapter 20 is about done. I've editted it to the max, now all that's left is for me to read through and make the little corrections it might need. Once I'ved put up a one-shot, I'll get started on Chapter 21.
So remember, look out in September!
I'm ashamed to say, now that it's December, that I haven't updated The Clier Path since I put up Chapter 20 in September, but that doesn't mean I'm giving up on The Clier Path. Ever since the September update, I have been writing some of Chapter 21, but in the midst of its creation was waylaid with coursework and a creative block. It has been so hard to find the time, so once NaNoWriMo hit us in November I decided, "well, if I give The Clier Path a rest for this month, then I can go back to it with a fresh mind and with a want to continue!" And, I'm glad to say it's worked! Being able to create and develop an original story has given me something else to focus and, though I'm very excited about one day drawing this story (I'm going to turn it into a comic), I think now's the time to get back to the love of before. Only a few days ago I managed to get two sections done (much to my surprise) and I'm excited about getting the chapter finished, with all thoughts now being focussed on Chapter 21's fruition; it's the completion of an arc as well, so I want it to be as good as it can be! I'm betting on the chapter being finished around Christmas (coursework allowing), and I may just set the release date for Christmas day, just to make it's release extra special. It's probable that no one will be on fan fiction on Christmas, but for those that are, please enjoy. If it doesn't it for then, then the Chapter will be released on New Years, probably around midnight December 31st - January 1st. Thank you all so much for your patience; I know chapter 20 was a very long chapter, but I think the time for waiting is over. Please look forward to the latest release!
It has almost been a year now since updating Chapter 21, and yes, Chapter 22 hasn't transpired, but it is being worked on. I also wanted to finish the latest arc with this chapter, but that won't be happening either. Instead, because of the amount of sub-plots that need to be covered, I will be splitting Chapter 22 into three parts, so once Chapter 22 comes out, Chapter 23 and Chapter 24 will soon follow, if there is still some interest there. As I always says, I will not update another chapter until the latest one has gained a review; that's how I know there's still some interest in it. Of course though, I will not be putting these up until Chapter 24 is complete and all three chapters have undergone the right editting. Otherwise, I hope you're looking forward to it! I have worked hard here, and I'm seriously trying to better myself every time - yes, that means there's a lot of pressure on me to do well, because I actually take this seriously, but hopefully it means we'll be seeing something soon - I do have a life outside of here, which is called University. But don't worry, I will keep going with this for as long as there is still interest in it. Thank you for all of your interest, your reviews, and your patience so far - it has been 10 months since the last update, and I'm sorry it's taken this long, but I wanted to do this right. Thank you once again, and I'll update on this side of the New Year if I can, it depends on coursework.
This is some extra news for you guys. Me and a fellow author, TheTrulyAvaricious, have combined together to become one single fan fiction account called The Sinful Ballad. This, my friends, is because we have started to create a story together, an M rate, for Fullmetal alchemist called Office Banter. It may not be up for a little due to my co-author's procrastination and his inability to get the first chapter written so that I can check it through. It was meant to be up on February 15th 2009, but no such luck obviously. The planning is more like a crack fic really, but it has some underlying storyline in there.
We promise that you'll not be able to look at your favourite characters in the same way again!
News Update: This story idea started less than a year ago and was due to be out 14th Feb 2010, but it never happened. We haven't even written Chapter 1 yet, which i know is a little disgraceful. Whether we'll make this year's date, i don't know, it is looking a little doubtful, but we'll see how things go from here. Hopefully, it will be written, i am quite pleased with the amount of concept we have so far, and we do still promise: you won't be able to look at your favourite characters in the same way again!
News Update: It's already 2011, and while other fanfictions, namely my Martix Crossover are going well, I haven't yet been able to poke TheTrulyAvaricious into Office Banter yet, but I'm holding out for the summer! Saying that, I have recently been getting back into deviantart, and have been updating my profile like crazy. Seeing this, Avaricious has decided that he wants me to draw the profile picture for it. It will be a two-character assemble, with the characters Greed and Edward to show the union of two authors on this account. I will post it up as a profile picture as soon as I'm done and it will even go on my deviantart account so that you can all have a look. The account name is daisukebebop, incidentally my old fanfiction name, probably because I created both around the same time. The planning of the drawing is already under way, so once I get some sketch paper we shall hopefully see it soon.
