Watsu techniques from Awakening Chapter 8 - images are worth a thousand words. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58ya3qtSyMY And in case anyone is curious, the picture is a crop of the painting "Flaming June" by Frederic Lord Leighton. I have not yet written my obligatory meadow scene, but I have picked out a soundtrack. It's a piano instrumental of Nina Simone's "Feeling Good." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeNv8zlzlV8 Story Updates - December 2011 Sorry for the delay, the next chapter of Awakening has quite a lot of dialog and that's never my strong suit. On an unrelated note, I've been toying with the idea of a crime drama inspired by one of my all time favorite movies, "Heat." I haven't really seen a story where Edward and Bella face off on opposite sides of the law. I see the story as a game of cat and mouse between a crew of professional bank robbers and the federal task force put together to stop them. Mix in a bit of "Point Break" and it makes for a really interesting combination. I just have this image stuck in my head where Edward and Bella face off against each other, guns drawn. Anyone read anything similar? I really want to read something like that but I haven't come across anything. This is how Awakening got started actually. I wanted to read a long war story but didn't find one. The question is, who would be the cop and who would be the criminal? I feel like the story would be compelling either way. Bella being the cop seem the natural choice, as Charlie is a cop in canon. But having her hiding her criminal secret from her father is equally intriguing. Edward being the criminal seem consistent with the rebel image people have in most stories. But then again he was a bit of a straight edge in canon, his personality more consistent with a lawman. Mmm...I may put up a poll to see what people think. |
