![]() Author has written 25 stories for Final Fantasy VII, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, Battlestar Galactica: 2003, Avatar, and Stargate: SG-1. I'm just an old curmudgeon who used to write too much (both original and ff). I've been making the transition over to solely doing original fiction for some time now, under my real name, and so I've long since slowed production on FFnet. Yet I still feel some obligation to a few of my old, unfinished tales. Dreadnought's Revenge finally reached completion. Maybe Colonial Sunset and Terra's Tears do as well, though that grows less likely with time. When they are complete, it will be the end of my fan fiction. It was good practice, and I will miss it. But, quite frankly, I've grown too old for this sort of thing. Old Writings: All of my Final Fantasy VII works are ancient. They are much older than their FFnet dates would imply, as I originally wrote them in my high school and very early college days. The oldest of them would be roundabout 23 years old now. I don't vouch for them any longer. My writing ability was marginal at the time. There are worse things on FFnet, though, so I will leave them for the morbidly curious. My completed TSCC and Avatar fics are somewhat decent, though they, too, date back to more than a decade ago. Pandora's Hope, Shadow of a Giant and Of Men and Machines are good material and seemed to have been well received. Touring Pandora is a cracked out humor fic, but of passable quality as well. Frankly, my writing was a little dramatic and a bit too flowery, for lack of a better term. But readers on FFnet seem to enjoy that style, so I suppose it worked out. If I sent that to my publisher these days, I'd probably be run out of town with torches and pitchforks, though. Current Writings: Colonial Sunset: Suspended, perhaps one day will be finished. Note, this one will be extremely long and difficult to follow, given the truly immense timeline I must work with. BSG's ending is one that I was conflicted about, but came to terms with in this fic. In some ways, it can be viewed as my attempt to fix the ending of Season 4 without outright rejecting the canon. The portions I've written so far bring about some closure even in its incomplete state. |
