Live for the moment.
If there is anything I have learnt in the past few months it is that life is for living, and living is free. Don't postpone your life, don't think; I will do it tomorrow, or next month, live now. Because you are. You are alive, you're breathing. Live - today.
My name isn't important, but I was born and grew up in a little country in the north of Europe called Norway. It's very small, but its beautiful, and I love living here. Nope, there is definitely NO polar bears walking around in the streets - and there are no penguins here either. I have no idea why everyone asks me about that, and I don't know if the fact that most of these people have been american have been merely a coincidence... Oh, well.
I discovered fanfiction a few years back, and I fell in love with it completely. I love all the stories, finding endless lists of new stories to capture my interest, and perhaps - my heart. In the beginning it was all about Harry Potter, but after reading the Twilight series I starting reading mostly Twilight fanfiction. I love Twilight - I love the characters, I love the idea of forbidden love, and I love the story in general. I feel like Bella is misunderstood by a lot of readers, who think she is a PMSing-whining-teenage girl who complain about every single happening in her life. I disagree. Can anyone tell me - honestly - that they would have handled what Bella has been through throughout the series better than her? Bella basically found out that everything she thought was true about the world wasn't. She fell straight into a failytale world - a world where she did not belong, but kind of just stumbled into, and was forced to stay. Okay - maybe she overreacted slightly in New Moon with all the angst and all the heartbreaking emotions, but I still think she is a great character. We see the Twilight world through her eyes.
I haven't written any stories myself. The reason is simple: I'm scared. I'm scared of not getting any reviews, and I'm kind of intimidated by the stories getting thousands of reviews, knowing mine probably won't. I have a couple of ideas for a few stories I would like to get down on paper, so maybe I will post a story sometime in the nearest future. Who knows. My stories usually centre around a different Bella - or a Bella with a different past that would have changed Twilight and have changed the way Edward and Bella fell in love. I would also really like to write a story containing missing moments from the Twilight universe. The problem is I can't seem to get started. And it's been done so many times before - I have to make mine original.
Anyway. Random facts about me? I'm a girl, if you haven't already guessed it. I'm almost seventeen, I'm in high school, have no clue what I'm going to be when I graduate, hate spiders, love the rain (when I'm not in it), love watching good movies, adore writing stories and have done all my life (it's just the thought of people actually reading them that is freaking me out), and I'm a very normal teenage girl. Or - so I would like to think. I have blond hair and blue eyes, a pretty crazy family, I live in a grey house (I hate the color, but nobody cared about my opinion), I ramble a lot, I get shy when I meet people I don't know, music is my oxygen, and I love good quotes. I also have a dream of becoming a doctor, but I can't really stand blood, so I think my medical career would be quite complicated. Or interesting. Depends on how you look at it.
Great TV-shows: Grey's Anatomy (because I like to think that's how the medical world works, and I love watching some McDreamy), Gilmore Girls (Lovely sarcasm and a really awsome mother-daughter relationship and great actors), Brothers and Sisters (I love it, I love everything about that crazy family and watching how much they love each other), Friends (because it's the best TVshow ever made, hands down. Who doesn't love Joey? Recommendation folks, watch Friends bloopers on youtube. I laugh so hard everytimes I watch them.), One Tree Hill (I love all the drama) and many other shows.
Great movies: Twilight (Became better after I watched it several times, and when asked whether I like Edward or Jacob I say Taylor Lautner), The Pirates of the Carribbean (Two words: Johnny Depp), Titanic (Best tragic movie in the world). There are a million more, but I won't bore you anymore then I already have.
Great songs: Lindsey haun - Broken, Knocking on heaven's door - Bob Dylan, We are the world - various artists, Leave out all the rest - linkin park, Suddenly - Superchick (Would be a great song to put in New Moon!!), The story - Brandi Carlile, etc etc. There are SO many amazing songs out there. Anyone have good recommendations pour moi? (for me)
"Who are you to judge the life I live? I know I'm not perfect - and I didn't live to be. But before you start pointing fingers, make sure your hands are clean." Bob Marley. Amazing quotes, saying all the stuff I would have said if I had the guts.
"One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching."
"Life is the art of drawing, without an eraser."
"Memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose."
"Dance as though no one is watching you. Love as though you have never been hurt before. Sing as though no one can hear you. Live as though heaven is on earth."
"Not all scars fade, not all wounds heal." So true. Too true.
"The truth is like a broken glass, everyone has bits and pieces but no one has all of it."
"I have a hand, you have another; put them together and we have eachother."
"Life isn't passing me by, it's trying to run me over."
"Family isn't about whose blood you have. It's about who you care about."
"It doesn't matter what people say unless you believe them." Kay Levetz, the purple eye.
"Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies..."
And I live by: I am who I am. No excuses. Life is too short to regret what happens. Live for the moment, live right now.
I would also like to use my profile to recommend some stories in FanFiction. This is some of my favorite stories, though not nearly all of the ones I want to write in here are on this list.
Leah's Journey by Lil' Dinky. Amazingly written, and because Leah deserves her happy ending.
Fearless by Mygoldeneyedangel. One of the stories I have read lately. Amazing author, amazing Edward.
Transcendence by TwilightMomOfTwo. A really amazing story - Eclipse in Edward's point of view. If you haven't read it yet - hurry. The author does the amazing combination of retelling eclipse while putting in new dialoges and new happening in the story which makes the readers surprised. This story is strongly recommended.
The invisible girl by Rue.writers. The imprint story Kim and Jared. Great character, amazing descriptions, and all together a really good story.
Innocent, vigilant, ordinary by Oxymoronic8. One of the best stories there is. Amazing.
And then he took my hand... series by hopesallthings. Three amazing stories where the author tells of oneshots between Carlisle and his "sons". Wonderfully written, great ideas of plotlines, and moment you wish was in the books.
High heels and runaway frisbees by regattabay. Terrific story of romance between human Edward in Bella in a human universe. Love it.
Midnight Guardian by ksomm814. This is Harry Potter, and it is a series. AMAZING! I loved it so much when I read it, and it's a story for all the Sirius-Harry parent-son lovers out there :)
Survival of the Soul by Lady Saffir. Great story about a girl learning that there is more to life then simply surviving.
Ect. Ect. Ect. I could continue this list all day. Check my favorite list for more - I'm sure there is a lot there to keep you up all night reading :)
I'm not sure if anyone ever reads profiles anymore. I know I do if I find one that interests me, but who knows if anyone will ever read my profile page. I love getting mails, so if anyone by any chance would like to emails me, feel free.
Just remember people: "A moment lasts all of a second, but the memory lives on forever."
And if anyone wonders, I have no idea why my profile name ended up as HarryPotter4Evah. It's weird, childish and strange. Well, live with it people :) It just kind of ended up being my profile name, don't ask me why. So - don't judge me based on my profile name. I know I sound like a blond-fourteen year old who can't spell, but oh well.
