After finally overcoming all of their misunderstandings, Darcy and Elizabeth are at long last engaged. With only weeks to go before their wedding, the couple travel to London to allow Elizabeth to complete her trousseau and meet Darcy's family. However, trouble arises in that quarter resulting in a severed betrothal. Infidelity occurs during engagement. HEA. OOC

A Pride and Prejudice story. Starting in Hunsford, Elizabeth is not allowed to stay home from tea and so Darcy's ill-fated proposal is prevented however Elizabeth is too angry to remain silent. This is a slow and sweet story that does get more mature towards the end.

And most mysterious of all, a mother some thought dead who is actually quite alive with a story of her own. This follows the trope of what if Elizabeth was not really Bennet. As is often the case with various fan fiction tropes, reality, facts and what can actually occur has to be suspended quite a bit while reading (I know I certainly suspended it while writing).

This is a modern EB/WD happy little story taking place in some interesting locations around the USA. Revealing his true colors, Darcy insults Elizabeth from the get-go, albeit in a more open manner. Lizzy is an obstinate young woman, which makes any apologies or explanations hard to deliver, and harder to accept. This is a romantic story with a bit of drama and low in angst.

Mrs. Bennet has a plan to take advantage of Lydia's eloping with Mr. Wickham, but things do not work out as she had hoped.

Darcy rescues Elizabeth from a cruel fate and seeks to protect her from ruin. Will Darcy be forced to face the gallows to save Elizabeth? In this story the Bennets have better connections. A compromise early in the Earl of Matlock's life led to a large age gap between Col. Fitzwilliam and his elder brother, the Viscount. The Viscount is of an age with Mr. Bennet. The friendship between the two led to a higher ranked godfather for Elizabeth. It is light hearted with little angst.

Elizabeth is given Netherfield and leases it to Bingley. How will this affect Darcy's attraction to her when he comes to stay with Bingley?

Darcy adopts a more rational, controlled approach to his offer of marriage to Elizabeth.

While Elizabeth gets a bit of excellent advice from her friend Charlotte Collins while staying at the Hunsford Parsonage, it is the fact that the encounter with Colonel Fitzwilliam occurs a day early that changes the dynamics of her stay at the Parsonage.

Elizabeth is sent to London to enjoy the fall season and does not return to Longbourn until Christmas of 1811. (This is a relatively short story - about 25K words - and it focuses almost entirely on Darcy & Elizabeth.)

The Gardiners' trip to The Lakes is not postponed and Elizabeth never visits Pemberley.

Jane accompanies Elizabeth and the Gardiners on their travels to Derbyshire. Meanwhile Bingley's siblings go to Bath, causing many things to occur at Pemberley.

An epidemic has hit Meryton. The story starts just after Elizabeth arrives at Netherfield to nurse her sister, who was taken ill during a visit with Caroline Bingley.

Jane and Lizzy must prepare to face an uncertain future. Shunned by Mrs. Bennet and largely ignored by Mr. Bennet, they face additional challenges when a young gentleman of fortune leases Netherfield Park.
