Hey! I'm a girl, 19 years old, and books/reading is my greatest passion in life.
I don't have much to put here now, but I'll put more later. If anyone needs recommendations of books, please, please PM me, and ask! I love giving reviews of books to people, and I have a vast (I like to think) knowledge of books. haha. But really, I would be more than happy to help a fellow bookworm.
So, really quickly a list of some favorite books (at least, as quick as I can make it)
Mortal Instruments Series (And any Cassandra Clare)
Books of Bayern (Goose Girl, etc)
Poison Study and sequels
So You Want To Be A Wizard
Ella Enchanted (a favorite childhood memory. will aways be close to my heart, and a terrific book)
Once Upon a Marigold (hilarious! amazing! comedy, romance, fantasy, some adventure/mystery... a little below my reading level, but so adorable and sweet. if you like, then read the sequel, Twice Upon a Marigold!)
Leviathon (A trilogy, with two published. Really good story, and AMAZING illustrations, too. A little below my level, but like a lot of my favorites, they're lighter for fun...)
OH! And I am in love with Heist Society by Ally Carter. Very light, but well written and pieced together, with twists and surprises. It helps that I'm completely in love with the male lead, Hale. There's a sequel that just came out!!
And many more...
Oh, and a teen fic author I LOVE is Sarah Dessen. If anyone is considering trying her books, I can recommend an order that makes sense. Books are not related, but sometimes characters pop back up, and it's fun to recognize them! And her newer ones have cooler meaning if you've read some others. I have favs that I can share!
OK, so that was not short at all. To tell you the truth, I didn't even really try. Sorry. You know next time I write anything, to skim. I won't be offended. much. ;))

Today I'm posting to say that I'm very sorry, but I will not be finishing the HP story I was working on, if it wasn't already obvious from the enormous break in between updates. I will be posting an Author's Note as a chapter, but I'll say here as well that I am willing to let someone 'adopt' this story, and will even beta if they'd like support.
Also, on that note, I am in the midst of several stories, but before posting any chapters I am going to finish all the rough drafts, and make sure I have plots figured out. I learned my lesson with the next generation fic. I'll put a Summary of them all here, and send me a message if there's one that you'd like most. (Because I'm flexible with which gets worked on most.)
Back to Snowsdale: (10-ish chapters at end; currently at 5 1/2). Daine and Numair are part of a peace delegation going to Galla. Takes place after Realms of the Gods, but before protector series. In it, Galla is being bombarded by Immortals, and don't have the necessary experience, fighters, and supplies to subdue them (Unlike Tortall who has seen more Immortals than they would ever like to.) Galla's king asks for Daine especially, and some Riders and some of the Own go. The Gallan king promises peace, and maybe even a marriage treaty for one of the younger Tortallan princes in the future. The center of the attacks, though, is Snowsdale. That is the center of the action, and the place that will make Daine face her past again...
Unnamed Post-Lady Knight Fic: (20-30-ish chapter at end; currently only 3 written in full). This will take place about a year after Lady Knight, with mostly Kel and Dom as our main characters. However, there will be Dom's numerous siblings (we never hear exactly, except that he's a younger son. I took liberties), Neal's younger sister (the one who's Kel's age), our favorite Knights and warriors, and of course, Meathead. There will be Immortals and Bandits, some kidnapping, and numerous overdone balls and parties to celebrate the end of the war. And if Lord Raoul is expected to suffer through, he will make sure everyone else has to suffer as well...
Flash: (Will be 50 chapters, currently have 10-ish done). The Golden Trio is captured part way through the seventh book, and taken to Malfoy Manor. However, what if Dobby wasn't the one to save them, but Fawkes? Fawkes hasn't been seen since the Headmaster passed away, but when he shows up out-of-the-blue and whisks Harry away with a flash of flame, the adventure starts. The Trio find themselves in the Marauder's last year of school, and discover that they are back in September of that year, and will stay the full year, to return to the moment after they left. A free whole year in the space of a minute to train, gain back strength, eat real food, and not be number one on both Voldemort's and the Ministry's hit list? Sign Harry up! Watch as his parents fall in love, he finds a loved one believed lost, he finds love himself, and the Trio trains to be unstoppable when they get back home.
A Father's Love: Book One: (Book One will have 20-ish chapters when done, depending on how many I write on his childhood before Hogwarts age). What if Sirius thought about his actions on the night of October 31, 1981? Maybe he would have realized that with James and Lily dead, his first priority was to the little boy who now depended on him. He goes with Hagrid to Dumbledore, where they make plans for the future, and alert the Ministry to Pettigrew's betrayal. What if the rest of the world believes that Harry Potter died after defeating Voldemort? What if instead a little boy took a potion that caused him to look the splitting image of his father, Sirius Black? What if only Dumbledore, Remus and Sirius knew the truth- that little Harry Potter had to be hidden for his own protection, and to save him the heartache and frustration of being a celebrity. Instead little Jamie Orion Black grows up a loved little boy with his father and honorary aunts, uncles, cousins, and siblings. Spending his childhood at Hogwarts has it's positive points as he takes the castle by a storm his first year!
(I will try very hard not to make this one of those stories where it's basically rewriting the books. There will be many differences, and some things will be switched around, etc. Book One is the intro on Halloween of the murders, a few chapters of when Jamie is five years old, and then the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone plot-line. I'll be trying to eventually get all seven years here!)
And if you write to tell me which you'd want to read first, I'll send you the first chapter of whatever story that is! It may be a bit rough and unedited, but the plot's all there. I have at least 5 chapters of each. So, I hope to hear from some of you!

Okay, so I've posted more since my last profile update, but not any of the stories I mentioned. Those are all longer, and I haven't had much inspiration. One shots seem to be better for me, right now. My poll is still going, though, so be sure to vote if you feel strongly about one, and even send a PM so I know which one and in what way. I will find time to work on them more. I have done some, promise.
On another note, I'm working on some other one shots, and short stories. Like, five to ten chapters instead of twenty to fifty! Those I will probably publish one chapter after I'm done with most of it, and wait and see if people are interested. I'll also add them to my poll. Be sure to stay tuned!
So, I found this on another person's profile, and I was amazed because after months of reading and writing fanfiction, some of the stuff still confused me. (terms, abbreviations, and such) So, I hope that this will help anyone that was in a position like me at any point!
Super funny and so true! I laughed my way through recognizing 100% of these things!
You're a 90's kid if:

You got excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class (Seriously, the best game ever right there.)
