I was so disappointed in Season 8 that I was moved to write my first FanFiction. It's time for Nathan and Allie to move on and for Nathan to find new love. There's a little bit of Elizabeth and other favorite HV characters. I hope you enjoy it. True love isn't all picnics and candlelit dinners (ahem... Lucas and Elizabeth). Sometimes true love is something a little more real. Not always grand gestures, but ones that come directly from the heart. The story picks up in the summer after the Season 8 finale, focusing on Nathan, Allie, and Hope Valley's newest teacher. Peppered with all the other Hope Valley citizens we love.

This is what I saw happening after season 7 ended and after some season 8 spoilers started being announced. With season 8 already airing I know that this not accurate to the current story line regarding Nathan and Elizabeth's love and families.

For those fans or Hearties that are disgusted with the 8th season of When Calls the Heart. I have decided that Elizabeth Thornton’s caracter didn’t deserve Constable Grant. So this is a story of Nathan finding a real woman who is worth fighting for, and the regrets of Elizabeth for choosing the safe option.

This story concentrates mainly on Nathan and a new character, Morag Beatrice Gregory known as Bea. It includes all your well-loved characters and a few new ones I have added. My love for Celtic Folklore and life beyond are also brought into the story. I am no writer or wordsmith but saw this story unfolding in my imagination. This is simply written, let your imagination run wild.

Christmas is coming to Hope Valley, but it is easier for some to get into the spirit of the season than others. Some are working on mending wounded hearts. Fiona challenges her new business partners, and old friends return to town.

I've started writing this before the final episode. After the last episode's preview, I knew that Elizabeth will choose Lucas. So... this story came to me, and I couldn't get it out of my head. Nathan and Allie deserve to be happy and I want to give them that. Faith left with Carson, so Hope Valley doesn't have a doctor for a while, until... :)

Many people stopped watching When Calls the Heart at the jail scene of the season 8 finale. What if Nathan hadn't just let Elizabeth walk away that time?
