Welcome to Tobu Ishi's domain. ~~Authorly Noteish Things~~ Y'know, after four years and a month exactly, you kinda start wanting to update your bio. Go figure. Hello again to everybody who's followed my writing so far, and welcome, all you newbies! (There's a small trickle of you running by at a pretty steady rate, at least, and this makes me very happy. Thank you, Reader Traffic.) So, what's to know about me? I'm female, early-twenties, a Pisces/Aquarian born on the cusp, and a longtime naturalized native of the Puget Sound area. At the moment, I'm living in Hokkaido, Japan, working as an English teacher. The ability to say things like "past perfect" and "helping verb" in Japanese qualifies me to warp the minds of Japan's youth, but apparently does not qualify me to turn out more than a few pages of quality fic a month. For that, I apologize deeply. I'll try to get better about updates soon. Most of my work is one-shot in nature, including several sentence exercises from 1sentence @ LiveJournal, but I have a few chaptered ideas bubbling in my brain, mostly for Avatar. We'll see if any of them survive their initial hatching into the harsh air of the outside world and show up here. I've also been recently posting some of my older FMA work that never made it out of LiveJournal onto this site until now, most of it also one-shots. In the meantime, if you need something with an update schedule, there's always the EdWin themes. Over fifty and counting! I've also written a lot of filks (song parodies and original lyrics for the anime/gaming fandom), including "Brothers", the English translation of the beautiful "Brajta" theme from FMA by Michiru Oshima, made popular at conventions by the inestimably awesome Vic Mignogna. I sometimes perform them at cons under the stage name FilkAeris, though this has gotten harder to do now that I spend 9/10ths of the year in Japan. There really isn't much else to tell. Love your fellow ficcer, be excellent in your reviews, and ship and let ship, folks. Peace out. ~~oOo~~ |
