This story is not dead. I have started up work on it again and plan to release new chapters soon. Thank you to the people who reviewed my story in this year-and-a-half absence of mine. Unfortunately that pesky thing called "real life" just had to interfere with my writing. So, I'm sorry for the delay. Thank you for your patience.

Thank you to everyone who gave my story a review in these past few days. I know it's not exactly fair for me to demand reviews from you all, but ,in all honesty, I simply got frustrated because it seemed like nobody was reading this anymore. Anyway, thanks again, it really means a lot to me to know that people are still intrested in my story. New stuff will be up soon and will keep coming until I run out of chapters to post. Classes are starting up again so I don't know just how much time I'll have to work on this, but I'm not going to let this go ignored for months like I did before.

No reviews, no chapters. Right now it's as simple as that. If nobody seems to care about whether I post or not, then maybe I should just save myself some time and skip posting entirely. I'm going to keep writing, but I have no idea when I'll update this again.

Chapter 15 just went up. I'm finalizing 16, Plains of War,and 17, Shadowed Destiny, so they should be up tomorrow and the next day, respectively. After that, though, I'm having a few problems with the path the story is taking. It's getting harder and harder to keep the characters "in character." Anyway, that's why I'm spreading out the new chapters, so that I might not have to take another long break while I figure out what to do next. There is one thing I'd like to ask of you all though. I'd like to see more than one review per update, just so that I can tell that more people are reading it. The hits counter is nice and all, but it can't tell the difference between one person clicking the link a hundred times versus a hundred people each clicking it once. After all, I'm posting this here so that I can get feedback about how I might be able to better my writing skills, so there's no real point in doing this if everyone is keeping quiet.
