Happy New Year! Now, I don't want to get hopes up, but I've sent the first chapter of Obsidian's sequel to my beta-reader. I have to admit, its tough writing this one. Obsidian just came to me. Like boom. Write me. Now. This one is running around my mind like a two year old who can't stay organized. I'm seriously trying, and writing for another fandom I fell into actually motivated me to finish up the first chapter to the sequel. I'm hoping this remains a trend.
Really, though, I have too many hobbies and too little time.
For now, my newest story:
Oneshot: The Other Side
Inspiration: Sinking ships and Adele. What more do you need?
Fandom: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Inspiration: A pair of earrings and yet another ship that never sailed. Enjoy
The first multi-chaptered fic I've ever completed. I'm still in awe! I suspect you're a bit tired of me saying it, but I'm still just proud I finished it. Now, if I could muster up some energy to dust off Searching for You, the poor thing.
I know that epilogue ending for Obsidian was pretty intense. Time till tell about how that pans out *cheeky smirk*
I think I'm just going to entirely reboot my existence on this site. My stories are sitting and dusty. And I think I'm just going to have to let some of them go. Namely, Reconciliation and Firewhiskey and Mint. I hope I don't hurt anyone that I do drop them. I'm just not...with them anymore.
Searching for You still has my heart even though it's been forever, so that one is going to remain here. It's safe for now.
The one-shots, of course, will stay, too. Even those archaic song-themed ones.
My fandoms have waxed and waned in these 2 or 3 years. I haven't written anything for Harry Potter in ages. I have written for some other fandoms. And I'm going to be adding a Thor one-shot.
If I add anything or update anything from now on, please don't think it will be consistently. I will try to keep it to one-shots if I do write much. Makes it less committed.
I MIGHT change my penname on here, too. I don't know yet.
Inspirations: (If you want to know why I'm dropping Reconciliation: I just stopped watching Gossip Girl so I can't even begin to assume where anything went or what I was going to do with it. Firewhiskey and Mint: tackled themes I simply wasn't equipped to write about. I hope you understand.)
My inspiration for September came from lounging around listening to Greenday's Wake Me Up When September Ends. It was my first fanfiction ever, and it went through countless revisions until it was just right. Needless to say, I'm very proud of it.
Shattered came from my friend Nora's insistance on a happy ending for Draco and Hermione...thanks Nora :D
Inspiration for The Sweetest Thing came from listening to the song See the Sun by Dido. It is such a beautiful yet mournful song, I thought it would work wonders for Draco's humility.
Inspired for Unrequited Love by an extremely catchy, fun song by Blake Lewis (who should have won American Idol, I don't care what anyone says) and that Ginny would fit the bill perfectly!
Inspiration for Searching for You. A fairy tale I've never personally paid much attention to. I love this fic so much. I'm so proud of it and thankful to all my readers :)
Behind Every Mask, The Hardest Part, Of Guilt and Love, Lives Told by Six, and Hope came from various prompts.
Victory was inspired by my obsessive love for Loki. Not much else is needed in way of explanation, I think.
