Thank you to everyone who left comments on my first short story - your encouragement has led to this new, light hearted, 'What if', where Darcy and Elizabeth allow each other the opportunity for candid speech earlier in their interactions. In this scenario, it is granted partway through Elizabeth's stay at Netherfield, leading to a much earlier conclusion of events.

Hermione breathed when he flung her back against the wall once more, realising she knew why he'd come; knew how he'd survived when even her healing efforts ought not to have saved him from his well-earned oblivion. A darker twist to the well-loved classic. Rejecting a man of such standing is not something to be taken lightly, and Mr Darcy has no qualms in using his resources to suit his needs. Miss Elizabeth Bennet's family is ruined, Longbourn now lost to them. She chose not to be his wife, but to keep her family at home together, she will have little choice but to be Mr Darcy's mistress.

Lily visits Severus before her wedding to James and in so changes his life in a way he never thought possible.

'What if' - Elizabeth and Darcy meet unexpectedly after the receipt of his letter but before his departure from Rosings. This is a fluffly one-shot 'what if' that ended up a two shot just because the characters kept talking in my head...

When news of the circumstances behind Quirrell's death spreads, Severus Snape finds himself carting an eleven-year-old fugitive across Europe. The further they travel, the less obvious it becomes how Severus can best follow the orders given to him, or if he need do it all. Severitus-ish.

It's a truth universally acknowledged that when one gives away ones virtue before fully securing her match, one is surely left for ruin. M rating for mature content

Gen, AU. Harry has worked for years as an Unspeakable to identify the best point where he might go back in time to change the impact of Voldemort's war. Now he knows: he will have to return to his parents' Hogwarts years and encourage the Slytherins to stand on their own instead of following a leader. Surely nothing can go too wrong. COMPLETE.

Mrs. Bennet fled from Longbourn with her lover and Jane two months after Elizabeth was born, leaving little Elizabeth behind with Mr. Bennet. Mr. Bennet dedicated his life to raising Elizabeth. He had loved Elizabeth dearly from the first time he picked his little girl up and she smiled her baby smile at him, and grabbed at his sideburns.

Alternate Universe. Two hurting, almost broken people reach toward the sunlight. This story has implied sexual violence and a Ginny who is two years younger than she was in canon.

Pushing anything back through time is almost impossible. Maybe a single sentence, if it's not got too many adjectives. Choose carefully: a butterfly's wings flapping could change the world or change nothing.

Elizabeth is slightly more perspicuous and thoughtful, and does not fall for Wickham's story, leading to an earlier resolution to a attachment to Darcy. Mrs. Gardiner also plays an expanded role.

Elizabeth is sent to London to enjoy the fall season and does not return to Longbourn until Christmas of 1811. (This is a relatively short story - about 25K words - and it focuses almost entirely on Darcy & Elizabeth.)

Darcy and Elizabeth find their attraction for each other impossible to ignore. Can such improper behavior overcome the misunderstandings of Pride and Prejudice?

The sixth year of Hogwarts proves more confusing than the previous five combined to Lily Evans. Receiving the benefit of unbiased advice from a mysterious pen-pal, she gains new perspective and learns more about herself and those around her. Still, that shouldn't change much, right?

It was not a lady's imagination that led a rapid jump from admiration to matrimony skipping over love, but it was rather the heated actions of both. Deep feelings tend to get in the way when hidden and can undo the potential for happiness.

How do you answer a completely unanswerable proposal without losing your temper or saying anything offensive, unkind or rude? Elizabeth Bennet is about to find out in this novel that starts right after Mr. Darcy finishes speaking in the Hunsford proposal.

Parts of souls do not go on alone. When Voldemort returns to a body he is much more sane than before and realizes that he cannot go on as he started. Finding some old laws he sets out to reach his goals in another way. Harry will find his world turned upside down once more and we will see how people react when the evil is not acting how they think it should.

Mr Darcy visits Elizabeth Bennet when she stays home with a headache. Instead of rushing into his disastrous proposal, Elizabeth speaks first. Will this allow Elizabeth the chance to see the man who has ruined the lives of both her beloved sister and Mr Wickham in a different light? First attempt at a story - ever - so enjoy!

The Doctor and Jack have found themselves to be 11. Unfortunately, there is no easy fix, so the Doctor decides they should attend Hogwarts until they can find a way to return to their proper ages. Here, they make friends, confuse professors, and desperately try to avoid disturbing fixed points in time. Updates on a monthly basis.

Three years in to a blissful marriage between Elizabeth and Darcy and tragedy strikes. Darcy falls from his horse and suffers a head injury. The resulting amnesia causes all sorts of problems that ODC Will need to overcome to get back their relationship.

HPLV, one-shot. One Horcrux wasn't destroyed after all, and by the time Voldemort has resurrected himself again, everyone is weary of fighting a war. A marriage between him and Voldemort wasn't Harry's idea, but if it keeps any more people from dying, it's worth it. 5 years after Georgiana had Wickham's child and Darcy secluded himself with her at Pemberley, Bingley convinces Darcy and his sister to visit him and Jane at Netherfield. Elizabeth thinks he is rude, but exceedingly handsome.

My version of "If Snape had lived doing the final battle." in this version though, Harry did NOT get to view Snapes memories and thus do NOT know of Snapes true role in the war. No one does. And it is up to Harry to piece it all together.

Mr. Collins, the Bennets' cousin, is a handsome, amiable gentleman, much to the surprise of his relations at Longbourn. He and Elizabeth easily fall into a close friendship. Mr. Collin's growing affection for Elizabeth does not go unnoticed by Mr. Darcy, prompting new twists and turns in this classic romance. (Elizabeth/Darcy HEA)

What if Caroline Bingley had successfully compromised Mr. Darcy on his return to Pemberley after negotiating with Wickham to marry Lydia Bennet? HEA
