Author has written 34 stories for Adventures of Sinbad, Harry Potter, Red Dwarf, Fringe, and Doctor Who.
important notice 22/7: I am eternally sorry, but for the time being I need to put my works on a temporary hiatus. I have just begun working at a new place and someone who I love with all my heart has been in hospital for nearly three weeks now. It's taking me a two hours ride to visit them so that is what my weekends are currently filled with. With both of these things taking up my time and muse I am afraid I cannot find the energy to write at all. Hopefully, things will get back to normal eventually though, and when they do I'll be sure to return and continue weaving my little tales.
Thank you ever so much for your patience, and for understanding. TK xxx
I reckon it's about time I updated this profile a little. Most likely, from the list of shows/movies I have written for you can already tell what kind of fiction I like. Still, I want to say a thing or two about my main fandoms:
The Adventures of Sinbad: Considering that about half of my fics are for this show I think it's fairly obvious that I'm an avid fan of it. AoS is one of the first series I ever watched on TV (at least if you don't count those cartoons every child enjoys) and there is good chance that it will always be my primary fandom, too.
Doctor Who:Compared to AoS (and in general) this is a rather recent addition to the list. I love pretty much everything about this show though, from the general concept right to the characters and their stories.
Red Dwarf: Now that's one of my absolute favourites. Got introduced to it about three years ago and have quickly developed an obsession for it. Unfortunately though I am not that great at writing humour, or at capturing dialects and mannerisms such as the guys show it. So, rather than creating rubbish stories for this awesome show, I stick to reading and watching. :)
Asides from the obvious I really enjoy reading stories about various fantasy and sci-fi series/films and try to be a good reviewer when it comes to that one. And while we're talking about it:
Now, as for what you can expect from me: I like to bring emotions across which is why most of my stories are really rather heavy on that. Unfortunately this also means, however, that for the greater part my writings (and especially my one-shots) lack any real action and often enough dialogue, too. I try to improve on that but quite regularly feel myself getting drawn back to creating emotional things.
Considering my universes and the stories that belong to them, here's kind of a short summary:
Silent Joy 'verse - AoS: A series of loosely connected stories that have Bryn and Doubar as the main pairing (though especially Silent Joy itself also focuses on Maeve and Sinbad). So far includes: A new day, Finding Home, I remember you, Contemplation and Silent Joy.
Bright are the Stars - DW: A (post-) Journey's End AU where the meta-crisis Doctor is Nine. Starts with Journey's Beginning and there's some sneak peeks of where it's all headed in Pictures of Us. Future works will hopefully be Bright are the Stars and Flying with Fear.
Any story that's not listed within these 'verses is either set within the canon world, or a little experiment that doesn't really fit into any specific category.
Well then, since that that's all said and done I guess there's only one last thing to mention: English is not my mother tongue. I really try to do my best with it but at the end of the day I'm still only human. So if you detect any mistakes in my stories please go easy on me. Furthermore I seem to have adopted American spelling in certain cases so that now I am mixing both - that and British English. I will try to get back to using just one of the two though (most likely BE because that's what I learned first) but it might take some time to revise old works and chapters.
And now, enough with the introduction (kudos to you if you're still with me). I hope you enjoy reading my works.
Recommendations: If you are a fan of LotR and enjoy the friendship between Gimli and Legolas I strongly advice you to visit myselfonly's profile. She's a genius and her works amongst the very best I ever read.
And for those who like the first season of the Doctor Who reboot and would have loved to see more of Nine and Rose, have a look at Montana's Parallax stories and Blue Wolf's works - they really are awesome! Also, ErtheChilde is an incredibly talented author and one of the few who focuses entirely on the in-betweens of Season One.
General disclaimer: (because I tend to forget adding one to my stories)
Update 06/2014: This goes to my amazing readers of Rise of the Phoenix: There is a little Epilogue and a huge Thanks to come! I would never just end the fic and not thank you all properly, so I hope you didn't think that this was it. I appreciate your incredible support more than I could ever put in words and it pains me to know that I haven't been able to say that yet. I have always known the content of the epilogue but have hit something of a Writer's Block with it because I want it to be perfect for you guys. I will, however, write it eventually and it will be dedicated to all you amazing people. Until then, know that it is thanks to you that this journey has been such a fantastic one, and that I will never forget the experience!
