The summer after Harry's fourth year would have been much better if just one person in his life had disregarded Professor Dumbledore's instructions to ignore him. And if that person was Hermione Granger? It would have been much, much better.

Although Harry suffered through many dark times at Hogwarts, it is my opinion that his teenage years would have been much darker without magic. But even in Harry's darkest times, there would always be lights to follow along the way.

There is not much Death cares about, but the Natural Order is perhaps the most important thing to him. Tom Riddle violates the Natural Order of Life and Death. But Death is cunning, and so he gives Harry three choices: Stay dead, go on or go back. What else could Harry choose but to go back when there's people to save? Got tired of being bashy, changing that. Still HHr, though.

After his name came out of the Goblet of Fire, Harry woke to a disturbing reality. The wizarding world only saw him as an expendable pawn, his carefree attitude towards studying left him struggling to survive, and he had never truly appreciated the one, constant companion at his side—Hermione Granger. It was high time for change. Gradual Grey!HHR.

Response to a challenge issued by Reptilia28. I've read a few responses to this challenge as well as other stories that have Harry or another character going back in time to fix things. However, I sometimes get impatient as I'm reading them. So, I decided to write a version of this cliché where very little time was wasted. Harry has a life to live, and he's got no time to waste.

A change of events during the Horcrux Hunt; Hermione is sent to another dimension, trapped in Hogwarts during the Maruaders' seventh year- 1977. She has to wait for the winter solstice, when Harry will come, and the summer solstice, which will send them both back. Chapter 11 Edited.

My take on the reptilia28 challenge. There's no office, no repeated deaths, and certainly no blame pushed Harry's way, but Death is still murderous with the way things are going.

After defeating Voldemort, Harry was hailed as a hero. Soon he was relabled as the new dark lord. Persecution and death followed until only Harry and a few of his friends remained. Using a ritual, they go back to 9/1/91 with a new plan: payback.
