Due to her family's troubled estate, Elizabeth takes it upon herself to alleviate the Bennet family's financial woes by seeking employment as a governess. With experience and charm working in her favour she is prepared for anything, but life proves to have a little more in store for her when she takes a position caring for Mr Darcy's children. Elizabeth and Darcy are forced to marry each other after a compromise at Netherfield ball. But who orchestrated the compromise? Will Darcy forgive her? What is in store for Elizabeth as the mistress of Pemberley? Will she be able to gain her husband's trust and affection? Major part of the story takes place in Pemberley. Darcy is struggling to control his mixed emotions for Elizabeth. He goes for a ride in an attempt to ease his mind and expend his energy. But things turn out differently as some OC provide timely intervention. Any animal lovers out there? Formerly a one-shot. This story is suitable for readers with an open mind and a sense of humour.
