Author has written 1 story for Avatar: Last Airbender.
Hi, I'm Tempest.
You will notice that I am not a very prolific writer, but I do love to read. Perhaps eventually I'll write more (goodness knows I have enough ideas), but for now I think I shall just make out a list of my ultimate favorite fanfics ever, by category, in no particular order.
Pirates of the Carribbean:
"The Measure of a Man" (author unknown)
Yes, unfortunately I'm starting my list with a story that is no longer available here on FFN, and hasn't been for years. I have no idea what happened to it, but I assume that the author got tired of it, as so often happens. It was epic though. I don't remember exactly what it was about (since I read it 6 or 7 years ago) but it involved an evil pirate with a ship with red sails, a poisoned dagger, and a ball at the governor's mansion. It was, and probably still is, the best written and best researched fanfic I have ever read and I am still hoping that it is someday re-posted. But since it's not currently available I'll have to go with...
"Revolutions of the Heart" by latebloomer04
'Elizabeth and Will were engaged but due to a cruel twist of fate, they were separated. 7 years later, amid the backdrop of the Revolutionary War, fate gives them another chance at love. But are they brave enough to take it?'
"In Vino Veritas" by Mathematica
'“You knew my father?” “Kid, the whole krething /galaxy/ knew your father.”' Go read this story. Now. It's short, and it's amazing.
"Silence" by Shy Snootles
'AU story, set four years after ROTS. Darth Vader has become the Empire's very image of death and destruction. But a fortuitous encounter with a little boy will shake the until then rock solid foundations of his Darkness and hatred.'
Stargate: SG-1: This one is harder, since there are so many that are so fabulous. I'll think about it and decide later.
"Just a Face on a Train" by katheryne
'After rescuing a train from Doc Ock's attack, Peter Parker found himself unmasked and indebted to those he had just saved. 4 months later, a train passenger again crosses paths with the young hero. Based on events from SpiderMan 2.' The story is much better than the summary, I promise. It's very cute.
Batman Begins/Dark Knight:
"The Nestling" / "Toward a Dark Horizon" by Philippa
'Post Batman Begins: Bruce’s life grows even more complicated when Wayne Manor receives a new inhabitant…Dick Grayson. The boy hides behind a wall of silence, scarred by his tragic past. But Batman is going to teach this crippled bird how to fly' / 'When Bruce's custody of Richard Grayson is challenged, he finds himself in a deadly race to discover the truth about his young ward.'
The first two stories of Philippa's series concerning Bruce and his ward.
"Better Be Slytherin" by jharad17
'As a first year, Harry is sorted into Slytherin instead of Gryffindor, and no one is more surprised than his new Head of House.'
"An Aunt's Love" by Emma Lipardi
'Harry comes home from school and Petunia is upset at the change in her nephew. Petunia decides to do what she should have been doing all along. Dumbledore had better stay away. Petunia Dursley is upset.'
"The Placebo Effect" by Elwa
'If you tell yourself a lie long enough, can it become true? Could Shawn really be psychic? Of course, he also tells himself he’s happy but he’s still taking the pills.'
Four Floors down, use the Stairs in Case of Emergency" by Centipede (available at psychfic.com)
'Shawn does something really stupid. Really stupid, really dangerous, and something that means he's really, really screwed. Which shouldn't surprise anyone. Especially since no one knows where he is.'
Stir Crazy by Texasartchick (available at psychfic.com)
'Head Detective Carlton Lassiter thought Shawn's request seemed innocent enough—"Give me a ride in your car." Life would still be simple and good if his answer had just been "NO."'
Avatar: The Last Airbender:
"What I Don't Like About You" by Trombe
'A prince struggles to change his destiny. An unforgiving waterbender tries to see past the betrayal. Fate has decreed them to be enemies from the start but the heart cares not for the laws of the universe.'
