Author has written 6 stories for Harry Potter, and MI-5/Spooks. Hi, folks. The Forty-Eleventh Fifth-Year Fic is still in progress, though that progress is often painfully slow. Just so you know that I haven't given up yet...Be sure to check out my Favorite Authors and Favorite Stories; they're fab, and some of them even update once in a while, unlike SOME people we could mention :cough:me:cough:. Also, I'm *still* looking for this Pettigrew story. The details: --It was shaping up to be fairly long--I'd say at least 6 chapters at the time that I read it (which was, I think, between about February and May of 2001). --It's in first-person point-of-view. --Peter had a younger sister who died when they were both children; she fell overboard from a rowboat that she and Peter were sharing and drowned, and he was blamed. Bertha Jorkins, who appears as a slightly older student (another Gryffindor, I think), knows about the death (I think she was at the party), and she's the one who tells the other Marauders about it. Peter nearly strangles her for telling, and he has a big fight with them over the incident. --Peter has a bit of a crush on Lily, but never really does anything about it. Lily is very sweet to him; she's the one that he tells about his sister's death. --The Marauders spend a lot of time trying to cure Remus. I think there's a bit about how, if they can find a person who is *willing* to be bitten, they can cure him. The person that they find seemed, at the point where the story stopped (and from which I'm hoping it has since continued), to have ties to serious Dark Magic. Remus has gotten a little scary by the middle of the story. --Sirius is pretty ambivalent toward Peter; Sirius never seems to trust him. --Peter is friends with Snape and a bunch of Slytherins; this increases Sirius's mistrust. --The Marauders find the Mirror of Erised. That leads to the whole "trying to cure Remus" sub-plot. --I may be totally dreaming this, but I think the first line of the story is something like, "I never told them, but the Sorting Hat wanted to put me in Slytherin." I'm less sure about that than about the other details I've listed, though. Thanks, and happy reading! TSS |
