While I am almost certain I will never upload a story, my imagination might lead me on someday. If i were to publish something, it would most likely be something to do with Harry Potter. And since we are on the topic, I would like to express my - sometimes unsavoury- feelings towards some chatacters.
Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore
Starting with the Big Man himself. The Master Manipulator, with the best intentions. I honestly like to think he is not 'evil' and that he is indeed a wise old man who knows better than most. But as you get older you can't help but think that it was his actions - or rather inaction or neglect - that led to pureblood superiority while Tom was a spirit (I mean come on: the Chief Warlock AND the Supreme Mugwump but his influence isn't enough to change some laws?) and the misery and tragedy that is Harry's life (more about him later). Don't get me wrong I know he adored the boy but at the same time raised to die. He didn't look outside HIS box for solutions as to Harry's horcrux scar. He believed that because he alone couldn't find one, that there wasn't one in general. Not only that, but I am pretty sure he choses to ignore that other people might disagree with him or have their own opinions. I mean bloody hell if you think about it Harry couldn't lead his own life since he was 1 and a half years old.
I ranted a bit I know, but Good Old Albus does that to me. Anyway whille I know he most likely regrets most of his decisions regarding Harry, it's all FOR THE GREATER GOOD.
On the other hand though, I don't believe he was HAPPY with the decisions he took regarding Harry. Yes he thinks that he is acting for the best of the magical world but he is human as well. He realises that he has deprived, not only Harry, but many other people close to him, of free will essentially. They do what he wants them to and in return the world is saved no matter the casualties. Maybe old age caught up to him in the end..
Plus if he truly wanted to ensure Harry's survival he would have trained him, he would have become a mentor to Harry but no..
But at the end of the day he did what he thought was right. He is a good man but a bit self centered.
P.S: So Dumbledore in his position as Chief Warlock, managed to vouch for Snape (a known Death Eater) while he didn't do anything to ensure Sirius had a fair trial? Yeah think about that..
Now this boy is a tough one. On one hand you have a great courageous man who lived his whole life regretting his worst decision, being a triple spy agent etc. On the other hand you have a petty bastard (pardon me) who tranfers his hate for a man 11 years dead to his NEGLECTED AND IGNORANT OF THE MAGICAL WORLD CHILD. That to my books is Unjustifiable. But mind you, his bigotry towards all things gryffindor is as bad. I wonder how many strings the man above pulled to keep him in a teaching position since it's certain that A lot of complaints were filed. I could go on for both sides of the man but I guess there is no point. He is not 'dark' but he is certainly NOT good either. And can someone who worships Snape expain to me how long does it take to alert the order about an attack on the ministry? And how long does it take to fly thestrals from Scotland to London? Compair the two and then talk to me. Plus there is the fact that he is the sole reason Remus Lupin was fired from the DADA position, and of course he did it out of spite.
"He is as good as my son". Since when does 4 weeks of living together constitutes as a family? Sure she took Harry in and all, but honestly she is overbearing. In Order Of The Phoenix she doesn't have the right to dictate anyone especially Harry in the house of his GODFATHER. And let's not forget the way she treats the latter like he is the crminal he was supposed to be. And she certainly does't have the right to forbid Harry from getting information on the war since IT IS CIRCLED AROUND HIM YOU HAG(sorry couldn't help myslef), Finally, isn't it convenient how a wife of a Ministry employee whith 7 children just HAPPENS to be in the MUGGLE SIDE OF THE TRAIN PLATFORM? And how the same wife asks what the platform number is and shouting about muggles in front of them? Yeah didn't think so. While i think she amd Albus arranged it, it wasn't for nefarious purposes , but because they wanted to help him. But it's not the best way to do so, in the end is it?
The most loyal jealous person? One day he might defend Harry, the next abandon him in the worst possible situations. One day he defends Hermione, the next makes her cry and destroys her self worth (like an old married couple Of CoURsE). Ron I a good and loyal friend to both of them but sometimes his inferiority complex, jealousy fits, and childish behaviour. really grates some nerves
Two things are certain: Harry is extremely patient, which is more than ron deserves SOMETIMES, and secondly he doesn't deserve Hermione.
Unexplored but brave and strong character who comes out of nowhere in Harry's love life with some fangirl tendencies. She straight up said to him that he wouldn't rest until Voldemort is dead. I am sure if she KNEW Harry she would never say that.
THESE WEASLEYS ARE NOT BAD PEOPLE BUT THEY ARE EITHER TOO STUBORN AND HOT HEADED OR TOO DIM WITTED SOMETIMES THAT IS INFURIATING my opinion of course :)
The man desrves some hapiness but first he should accept himself for what he is and not wallow in self pity... thank God for Tonks. A loving uncle to harry ( when he contacts him ,that is) he is also too blind to follow Albus instead of caring for Harry. Other than that FUCK YOU ROWLING HE NEEDN'T HAVE DIED. (Not even going to apologise for that one.)
My favourite character no doubt about it. Neglected by his family, discredited by society, unjustly imprisoned, yet the man just up and leaves Azkaban when he realises that Wormtail is in Hogwarts with his godson. This man embodied everything Harry ever wanted. So of course he dies defending him. Rowling once said (at least that is what I heard) that it was between Arthur Weasley or Sirius Black. I wouldn't even hesitate killing the former if I was to pick.
In the first three books, yes she is a bossy know it all, but she can't help it. Lonely childhoods are known to have negative effects on someone. In the sixth book i like to think Rowling was desperate to somehow make Harry and Hermione hate each other. Since when would Hermione find it impossible for Malfoy to be a Death Eater? Since when would she give Harry the cold shoulder because of a book? YEAH SURE ROWLING
Hermione is the best friend Harry could ever have. Supportive, caring, loyal, and always pushing him to be better. Yes she has a bit too much respect to authority, but she truly means well and wants what is best for him. She might be the only person, who is not an adult, to truly SEE Harry for what he is, NOT the BWL. How she ended up with Ron is anyone's guess but since Rowling herself admitted that Harry and Hermione should have ended up together I rest my case.
His life is a tragedy. His fate was written before he was even born. He was raised by neglectful relatives and went to Hogwarts a thin and emotionally abused boy. He watched as his archenemy used him in a ritual. He watched a friend die in front of him before said ritual. He watched as his only hope for a happy life and a family gets pushed through the Veil. He watched his (i reluctantly say) mentor murdered by Snape. His best friend abandons him and Hermione in the middle of the most crucial task. He learns that he himself must die and that in fact he was raised to do so. And the boy still managed to win the war. The boy who was abandoned by his schoolmates in his 2nd 4th and 5th year. The boy who lost all ties to his family as Sirius and Remus died in the war. I honestly would have taken Hermione and went to Australia and leave the sheep of the Wizarding World to their fate. But Harry is too damn noble. He bloody deserves all the riches in the world but instead Rowling named his 3rdborn ALBUS SEVERUS. All joking aside, for someone who was raised to be a timid boy, his internal strength is immense as he pull through every wrong that happened in his life.
