In the 1990 Adaption of "The Phantom of the Opera" Where Christine (Teri Polo) convinced Erik, the Phantom (Charles Dance) that she could love his face without his mask. Upon seeing it she fainted and fled in fear with Erik unable to stop her. The story ended sadly with Erik dying and Christine leaving with the Count de Chagny. But here is my view on how the story should have gone.

Based on My Fair Lady. Christine is a flower seller near the Paris Opera. The Daroga bets on Erik's ability to make her into a lady and Erik has no reason for why he went through with it.

Christine is under the guardianship of Professor and Mama Valerius. One day the Professor informs the return of his friend Colonel Erik Desslar who has come back from his travels and who also owns the grounds Christine so fondly takes her walks. Christine will quickly realize the Colonel isn't like any other man, not just in looks but in behavior as well.

Alone, bitter, and desperate for her independence, Christine Daaé finds herself in a small American mountain town signing Opera arias between vaudevillian acts. Little does she know that the mysterious lights from the Phantasma, just a short ride away, will bring to life parts of her she long thought dead. (E/C. Slow burn.)
