Anyway, my username comes from my dog Kaya, who is a Chihuahua/Toy Fox Terrier mix. She's got the adorable look of a Chihuahua, but without the barking. I also have two cats named Loki and Poncho at my mom's house. I've had Loki since she was a kitten and she still scares me. She's kind of like a female Spike (from the Mediator series). Poncho is actually my mom's boyfriend's cat and he is extremely sweet when it comes to humans, but likes to attack the dog when she least expects it. Oh, and at my dad's house we recently got a kitten named Hunter to keep my dad company on the days that I'm with my mom. Okay, now that you're probably thoroughly sick of hearing about my pets, onto my personality: I'm extremely shy and sweet in class and with people I don't know well, but at lunch and after school I am very sarcastic and I never shut up. I am addicted to Lipton Green Tea and go through it the way some people guzzle soda. Coffee and soda don't really do anything to me, but that stuff causes me to go crazy. I tend to act the same way when I'm tired or when I'm playing board games. I don't know why, but I get really emotional and if I've had a good day I start bouncing off the walls, but if I've had a bad day I end up crying for the most random reasons, like I didn't draw the card I wanted. Weird, I know, but most of my personality is. I'm a huge fan of all things random and I get bored if a conversation sticks to just one topic. I like to change the subject a lot, which gets confusing if I forget what I was going to say. I'll have to go over everything I've talked to that person about before I figure out what I wanted to say. Hmm... what else... Oh! My favorites: Books: The Mediator series, the 1-800 series, actually pretty much any series by Meg Cabot, The Uglies Trilogy by Scott Westerfeld, The Hero and The Crown by Robin McKinley, The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley, the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, Heir Apparent by Vivian Vande Velde, most books by Gail Carson Levine, but especially Ella Enchanted... I'm sure there's others, but these are the only one's I can remember. As you can see, I'm a huge fan of Meg Cabot books and I also really like Fantasy/Science Fiction. I don't really like true stories and I usually don't like books with sad endings (although Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher was very good) because for me books are an escape from the real world. They're a world where people can go on adventures that they wouldn't be able to in real life and yeah, they usually screw things up along the way (cough Sam from All-American Girl cough) just like in real life but, unlike in real life, the books I read almost always have happy endings. Basically, I am of the opinion that life is too short to waste on things that make you sad. If I wanted to do that, I'd turn on the news. Movies: I have a hard time trying to name favorite movies, but I do really like 10 Things I Hate About You, Ferris Beuller's Day Off, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Just Like Heaven, Juno, Stardust, Penelope, and most romantic comedies. The reason why I like romantic comedies is pretty much the same as my reasoning behind my book choices. T.V. Shows: How I Met Your Mother, Greek, My Boys, Scrubs, and I have recently become totally obsessed with Pushing Daisies. My favorite T.V. show ever is probably Arrested Development, but sadly they "made a huge mistake" and canceled it. I used to watch a lot of T.V,. but I'm actually not that into it anymore. I think that obsession has been transferred to fanfiction. Music: The Fratellis, Death Cab For Cutie, Snow Patrol, Feist, Frou Frou, Coldpay, The Go-Gos, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, the Wicked soundtrack, most things off the Scrubs soundtrack, the Garden State soundtrack, and a whole lot of random other songs. I like a mixture of pop (preferably 80s pop) and what my mom refers to as "Emo Music" although I don't see what's so "emo" about it. It's just a little more mellow than the kind of music she listens to. Miscellaneous: I also really like board games, like Apples To Apples, card games, like Phase 10, morbid things, like the Triangle Factory fire, shows or stories involving parallel universes, and wheat. I don't actually know of anything I do with wheat, but it's fun to say that's one of your hobbies, isn't it? People give you the weirdest looks. What else do I like? Hmm... Oh, I know! For some reason I find the word hooligans amusing and I like the word dumpling, probably because it has all those rounded letters. And I can't think of anything else I like, so I'm just going to go read some stories to get my mind of the fact that apparently my life can be summed up in less than a page. Depressing... |
