UPDATE - The new chapters of A Garment of Brightness have begun! I am so blown away by the love given to this story by all of you readers. It was your love that called the story back from the Muse's deep, dark cave, to resume writing. It is your love that gives me courage to post after all these crazy years. And I am once again staggered by all of you returning to read after being becalmed for a whole-ass decade. Thank you thank you thank you! Once again, shout-out always to my betas, past and present, and especially Cindy Windy who has held my hand throughout the home stretch. You all are awesome! Thank you! ️

UPDATE - NEW chapters of A Garment of Brightness will start posting November 28, 2023. ️️ 14th anniversary of Garment's first post.

Starting November 28, 2023, story will update every 10-14 days until complete.

UPDATE - A Garment of Brightness is IN PROGRESS. Your author has been working diligently on the continuing chapters since last November. A lot still needs to happen before the story closes. Current word count for new material is about 17,000. Chapters run short, so about 15 new chapters are drafted so far.

Dear Readers,

First and foremost I hope that everyone is safe and well in these uncertain times. Wandering through the reviews and messages that have been left here over the many years of my absence has been incredibly touching and beautiful. Thank you all.

It has also embodied to me the quiet covenant between writer and reader.

Here it is December, 2022. And, mirabile dictu, I am writing again. Because A Garment of Brightness remains to be finished. And nanowrimo was RIGHT THERE. I have finally put the 'in progress' back into Garment's designation as "WIP".

This time around, I am going to FINISH ALL THE CHAPTERS before I start posting. Because last time, the weeks and months that often separated one chapter from another were too torturous. Cindy Windy is beta-ing and KEEPING ME HONEST! (Thank you thank you!!). So this will be completed. And once it starts to post it will do so in good order.

It is already long. It will be longer. But folks coming to it for the first time, at least you know it is not left to limbo. And, dear readers from the storied past, if you are still waiting for the conclusion of this tale, what has gone before is an open book to refresh the details that will be taken up again.

May all who visit enjoy what you find, here and everywhere.
