Name: Carlynn Leigh (I prefer Carly, but does anyone ever call me that? No! So just leave it at Carlynn.)
Location: Florida, and that's all I'm saying.
Sign: Virgo... do I believe in horoscopes? YES! But I don't always have the best ones... today it read "Your moon is in Uranus." No lie... it sounds like on that movie Just My Luck, but that's what it said, I kid you not.
Entertainment: One Tree Hill, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Gossip Girl, and READING! I own every single book Stephenie Meyer has written (or co-written for that matter) and currently have Breaking Dawn on pre-order... yeah, I'm a fanatic. Running, and, um THE BEACH!
School Subject: French, Language Arts
Saying: "Suck my toe"... "Go shoot yourself in the foot" (no, I don't have a foot fettish)
Edward or Jacob? EDWARD! He's sexy and polite and way more mature... plus there's the while protective factor that drives me wild!
Thoughts: About imagination- Well, I love to write, obviously. I have a pretty expressive imagination, and sometimes I just can't get it out fast enough (this may be why it seems like in my stories I am rushing.) And I think that anyone says they don't have an imagination is lying, or just lazy. Everyone can think of something creative... About writing- To me, writing is a chance to express how I'm feeling in what I write. Now, don't go reading Midday Moon and think that I'm feeling suicidal or insecure as Bella does at times, but I definitely write in journals and diaries, and I love to write poetry.
Quirky Loves: 80's hits (Pretty in Pink, Pat Benatar, etc.), Twilight novels, Disney Movie music (Pocahontas - Colors of the Wind, Little Mermaid - Kiss the Girl, Lion King - I Just Can't Wait to be King), color black, Phantom of the Opera, Trident Splash gum, cherry flavor, lemon scented stuff, classic romance novels, being artistic, foreign films--especiall French.
Dislikes: Stupid and insensitive boys, attention seekers, math, disorganization (is that even a word?) and techno music.
Aspiration: Actress/singer, some sort of performer, or a writer.
Writers/Poets: Stephenie Meyer, Edgar Allan Poe, Mary Downing Hahn, Sandra Brown (adult romance novelist, but absolutely incredible), Sarah Dessen
Quote of the Day: "I know what you want / but you'll just have to wait / if I had it to give / I would give it away / I'm living it up / while I'm faling from grace / there's no way / there's no way that I'm running away" -Breaking Benjamin, Simple Design
Writing: I like to write a lot in my spare time. I mainly write poetry, because I can never get out enough, fast enough for long stories, but occasionally I sit down to my computer and attempt another chapter for my fanfic. Anyway, my favorite is called The Hermit, which I have posted a copy of.
Songs: Anything by Breaking Benjamin
Movies: Becoming Jane, Awake, Phantom of the Opera, Titanic, Twilight (when it comes out!)
Strangest Thing I Have Ever Seen: Two lizards having sex on a fence post.
You Know You've Lived in 2007 When: (this is sooo cute).
1. When you go to a party, you sit down and take MySpace pictures,
2. You haven't played Solitaire with real cards in years.
3. The reason for not keeping touch with your friends is because they don't have AIM/MySpace
4. You'd rather look all around the house for the remote instead of pushing the button on the TV.
6. Your evening activity is sitting at the computer.
7. You read this list and keep nodding and smiling.
8. You think about how stupid you are for reading this.
9. You were too busy to notice number five.
10. You actually scrolled back up to see if there was a number five.
11. And now you're laughing at your stupidity.
12. You know you fell for it.
The Hermit: A midnight moon, covered by a fog of clouds / Snow, thick as a blanket, lay on the ground. / To understand this, you must imagine you're him, / the man who walked through the graveyard that night, purely on a whim. / You pause to glance at a moss-covered tombstone, / Wet and shivering and cold to the bone. / Your thin shirt does nothing to block the chill, / And you can't help but notice that everything is calm and still. / You tremble slightly as a wind shakes the trees/ The chattering of your teeth, the numb of your knees. / You sprawl on the ground, despite the ice, / Wishing to gamble for your life, yet knowing you have no dice. / You hear a soft sound, a welcome whistle tone, / that reminds you of just how much you are alone. / Despite the freeze, pleasant thoughts enter your mind, / everything you once had, now you wish you could find. / The forgotten image of a loved one's face, / The church pipe organ playing "Amazing Grace." / The smell of a rose, delicious and sweet, / The ice cream man stopping by to offer a treat. / The images are interupted by a wheezing cough, / and you know the ending isn't that far off. / After a day of sailing, the taste of salt in your mouth, / visiting your family members back down south. / Backyard barbecues after football games, / that funny co-worker, John what's-his-name? / That old antique loom at your grandma's house, / scaring your sisters with a fake rubber mouse. / You're snapped back to reality, depressed by where you are, / and you realize that the end isn't that far. / The images fade, / the whistle too...
And darkness falls, closing in over you.
Message: My writing is mainly going to be focused on "Forever Today" this summer. I'll try to get in some "Midday Moon" stuff, but I'm on a roll with "Forever Today," while I'm still facing writer's block with "Midday Moon."
