Grimderp is a description for any media or work of fiction in that the plot is excessively dark (ie, bleak, amoral, horror, terror, etc) to the point of absurdity. I absolutely hate it, and I flat out refuse to read, watch, or edit anything that contains it.

I have a fierce and passionate hatred for snippets, interludes, flashbacks, and omakes. They are more oft than not the ruination and death of fanfictions. Words can't properly express my total burning rage at those abominations. And unless it's absolutely vital to the cannon of a stary, I will adamantly refuse to read them.

My other favorite movies are The Princess Bride, Ponyo, How To Train Your Dragon (Trilogy), Jet Lee in Bodyguard From Beijing, Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away, Captain Blood (1935), Gojira, Lethal Weapon 1-4, James Bond (Pierce Brosnan era) and the Lord Of The Rings & Hobbit Trilogy.

My favorite authors are Terry Goodkind, Robert Jordan, and Brian Jacques.

I intensely dislike Tragedy, Horror, UberAngst, Grimdark, Grimberp, and Gore.

I like Adventure, Humor, Romance, Drama, Mystery, and Action.
