Author has written 8 stories for Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII-2, and Love Live! School idol project.
I've gone by several pennames in the past on this site before, but currently, I go by Ashirenne. (previously known as xAltaria)
Mainly, I write for the Final Fantasy XIII fandom, and I have 2 stories currently in progress: Trembling World and So That I Don't Forget. They're not by any means the epitome of modern literature or anything like that, but they make me happy, so here we are. I decided to post my writing because I figured that they might make other people happy too.
Since mid-2013, I know my updates have been extremely sporadic and at times I seem to disappear from the face of the planet, and for that, I apologize. I've struggled with depression and anxiety since I first started university years ago now and it took me a long time to figure out how to "deal with it", even though that's a token phrase that holds little to no meaning in terms of conveying what actually goes down. I'm not here to ramble or to pity-seek though: for those people who've told me they've also gone through this/are currently going through this, the best advice I have in a few words is to stay strong. Life changes so much, but never give up on those who've been there through your best and worst. Never give up on life, because everyone has a worth - don't ever stop believing that.
Currently, I am still in the process of finishing up my degree in Health Sciences thanks to numerous delays, but I'm finally happy to say that I'm almost there! I just have to finish up this current practicum and I can bring home that piece of paper. I haven't forgotten about my stories though, and I'm slowly still working through them. (Currently working on Chapter 5 of So That I Don't Forget; will be posting a bunch of chapters at once when I'm doing editing them!)
I also wanted to take a minute here to thank anyone who's ever supported me and my writing. I wouldn't be here today without that kind of support, whether you review my stuff, leave me a PM, or even just take the time to read the things I type out on a word doc. It means so much to me that people enjoy what I write and that kind of encouragement inspires me as much as my ideas do.
- With love, Ashera.
