Author has written 11 stories for Fullmetal Alchemist, and Bold and the Beautiful.
Hello there! I'm a 20- year- old girl here from Finland. I've been a member of FF.net since June- July 2008.
I'm born in 1991, and my hobbies are singing and reading/ writing fanfiction. I have pretty bad problems with my stories because:
1) English isn't my native tongue although my reading and speaking is quite fluent
2) I'm extremely critical about my stories. What is satisfying enough for others, isn't enought for me. I don't want to do gag stories but want to write something that makes sense and moves the readers
3) I'm not good at writing with laptop. Or computer. I write quickly but make spelling mistakes.
ABOUT MY ICON: I don't remember where I found this so if you know the name of the artist, tell me so I can give credit to the right person. This one just caught my eye because it's pretty difficult for me to find icons that I like.
So, I write about FMA. Here's a bit of my FMA history:
It was morning in spring 2007 when my little brother opened the television because he wanted to watch FMA ( at that time, we shared a room). I was totally against it because Ithought the show was stupid. But then, I was too tired to get up, to awake to sleep so I had to watch the show.
It was quite good. The first episode I watched whole was episode 10.
Then one day I was watching TV with my mother and saw the trailer of the series and remebered how good the episode was. I went to watch the episodes (4, the begin of 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) my brother had recorded.
I was totally hooked!
Now, one and a half year ( almost two) later, I'm the only FMA fan in my home. I've seen the series, but not the episodes 1 and 2 because I thought they were boring, the movie and I'm reading the manga and have heard news about the new series.
I don't believe it's going to be good.
3/15/2009: Partly I'll take my words back. I've seen the trailers, and they're good. I'm also glad that Ed, Al and Hughes's voice actors will remain the same. Still, I'm sad Tohu Ookawa and that Jean Havoc's actor won't be in the new series. But the animation! It looks so... have you watched W.I.T.C.H tv-series? Then you'll get the idea.
What I expect from the new series:
1; Ed/ Hughes moments
2; Ed/ Havoc moments
3; It's not necessary but it would be nice if they didn't do another ep 25
Edward/ Hughes: Yaoi, friendship, parental, brotherly... GIVE ME ANYTHING INLUDING THOSE TWO! I can spend hours just looking for stories about them. Yaoi is quite easy to find but not parental. How come there are like tons of Edward/Roy parental stories out there but nearly none of those two.
My goal is to write parental stories about them!
If any of you knows good Hughes/ Ed parental stories, tell me! I'm desperate!
Edward/ Havoc: The same as above. There are no stories about those two in brotherly way. Still, there are more than of Hughes/ Ed.
Parental works also.
If any of you knows good Havoc/ Ed parental/ brotherly stories, tell me! I'm not so desperate as above, but still.
Oh Gosh, I hate this part. The only stories I've written is Silence. Pure Hughes/ Ed parental, Havoc/ Ed in a brotherly way and Ed getting into hospital. Everyone loves that.
The stories I'm writing at the moment:
Longing for Love: Hughes/ Ed parental, Havoc/ Ed brotherly
Once things get difficult with Hughes, Edward moves to Havoc's place to sort things out.
3/15,2009: I'm writing this all the time and the next chapter should come out next week. Thanks to my perfectionism (damn), I haven't been satisfied with it. So, if the chapter sucks, blame my personality. Also, criticism is always welcome! Remember it, and all the suggestions are welcomed!
6/22,2009: I would just like to let everyone know that suggestions for this story are always welcome! It helps me update faster.
The stories I may write someday:
As you know, stories live forever, but if you continue them for too long, they wont work. So, Longing for Love will end someday too. I'm not sure when, but I don't want to make it too long 'cause I have to save material for my other stories too. All I can say is that after the net... or let's make it two, chapters there will be the hopefully big, dramatic clima which explins some things to my readers who, if everything goes well, have read the whole story.
To, begin with, I'm still writing some stories. Can somebody please eplain to me why I write long stories although I know that they take me so long to write. Am I too ambitious? Should I rather write one-shots?
I'm setting up a new poll: Which of these stories would you like to read after "Longing for Love" ends?
Sailor Alchemist: Hughes/ Ed parental, Havoc/ Ed brotherly, Ed/ OC
No one voted for this the last time but I'm still putting it on here. So, the main idea is a cross over, but the main cast will be from Fma, but there will be two original Sailor Scouts.
This story begins when Edward is (surprise, surprise!) 14- years old. I have planned to make this story a long one, to cover fours seasons of the original series (Classic, R, S and Stars). Also, I have planned to add the FMA anime story to this but I have no idea how I'm going to do it.
The story line will be pretty much the same as in Sailor Moon but as the story goes by, it takes it's own direction in some points. Fma characters are all there, don't worry, and they are the main cast, especially Edward, Hughes and Havoc 'cause I just love those three, but I'm not forgetting about Roy and others! The characters (mainly children) grow up in this story and face everyday things while maturing. At the same time, they have to fight against whichever enemies the future brings in front of them.
Does it now sound more interesting?
Finding my Place: Hughes/ Ed parental, Havoc/ Ed brotherly
Tells about Ed's first times in the military. He faces difficulties and tries to adjust to his new life in Central. At the same time, he and Havoc get to know each other.
I haven't wrote this story yet, but I have thought about describing Edward's complicated feelings for his new life. After all, he has just faced the horrible fate of Nina, and is burdened not only by his new responsibilities as a State Alchemist but the guilt he feels for Al. Still, he is only twelve and secretly wants to lead a normal life with friends and parents there to support him. This can be considered, in a way, a prologue to Longing for Love, although they are not meant to be similar. There are some things that are different, but the main thing is the forming of bonds.
I have been thinking to make this story a sequal or two, so if you vote for this, you are pretty much likely to get more reading. Remember, DON'T LET IT BE THE ONLY REASON TO VOTE!
This is complete AU in a way. War breaks out in Amestris and Edward is sent to Havoc's homeplace to country side. While the others go to war, and Gracia, Elysia and Al are all in different places, Edward waits for his friends to come home. This story contains character deaths and modern, meaning World War II weapons because they are more threatening than what they use in FMA.
Oh, yeah, you might already guess that this story is Hughes/Ed parental, and Havoc/Ed brotherly.
Then there is this idea of parental one shots or longer stories circling around the theme of different sicknesses and accidents like amnesia, concussion, drowning... They're pretty much going to be Havoc/Ed and Hughes/Ed parental. I've been thinking that every theme has two options, one for each pairing. Of course, Ed would be the victim, because we just love to make him suffer. =)
