I am a forty-something lass from the Midwest who has been writing on and off since junior high school, when I won a Future Problem Solving writing competition. I started writing fan fiction before I had even heard of the term (this would have been in the mid-1980s). Even wrote disclaimers on my stories back then, although I was the only one who read them. I was a little precocious.

I found this site by chance when I was doing a search for something else, and I've been reading and re-reading my favorite authors and stories non-stop since around Christmas 2016. I'm in awe of some of the talent on this site, as well as the work (research and just the amount of time) that has gone into some of these short stories and practically novels.

The realm I've written mainly for is Hardcastle and McCormick. It's one of the only television shows for which I feel I can adequately write, as I've been somewhat obsessed with it since it first aired, and have seen every episode multiple times. (I also feel this way about Family Ties - somewhat obsessed with it, seen every episode several times.) I still have VHS recordings of all the H&M episode (from syndication), and two DVD versions - one set is of the originally aired episodes, with commercials and the like, and the other set is the one that was released by VEI. I was also lucky to meet a great contact on here, owlcroft (a fellow H&M fanfic writer and a published author!), who was able to e-mail me PDFs of most of the original scripts of the three seasons of Hardcastle and McCormick.

I have completed twenty-seven stories for Hardcastle and McCormick, including one that took on a life of its own (Inheritance Tax) and ended up being 31 chapters (and an Epilogue). It also took nearly a year to complete. After having finally finished that tome, I am now having fun crafting new stories, which include some episode "tags," a few holiday-themed fics, and so on. I am also happily enjoying the new stories from a few "late to the party" H&M writers such as myself.

NOTE: I have also now added one Family Ties story, and ten Back to the Future stories - some short and medium fics, and two longer ones that have chapters. As I have seen every episode of Family Ties and Hardcastle and McCormick many times, so have I seen each Back to the Future movie. I also have several BTTF books and I follow different Back to the Future accounts (and Michael J. Fox) on social media, so I'm always learning new things.
