Poll: So, which of these WIP's would you like me to focus on? Because, seriously, splitting my attention is sloooow. You can read the summaries farther down my profile. Vote Now!
Author has written 36 stories for Harry Potter, StarTrek: The Original Series, Stargate: SG-1, Supernatural, Heroes, Glee, Lord of the Rings, StarTrek: Other, Star Trek: 2009, and His Dark Materials.
Hello! My name's Kaleigh, 18, and that's I'm going to tell you. Haha.
In regards to my stories, the only thing I really have to say is in regards to reviews; please don't balk at giving constructive criticism! I want to improve as a writer, and though in a few cases I might disagree with suggestions I always find feedback useful (the negative kind even moreso than fluffy flattery - although I won't say no to that, either!)
NOTE TO READERS OF REFLECT/OPAQUE. I really can't lie to myself anymore; I hate these two stories, and I have for awhile. I have absolutely no desire to continue them, except I feel guilty abandoning a story. But typically when I work on continuing a long piece after awhile I try to reread that piece, and I can't even bear reading either of them. If I were to continue either story I would first need to severely edit and alter them both - not just for grammar (though lord knows that is direly needed, too) but for plot and sentence structure, and altering characterization and dozens of other little things I frankly don't want to deal with. I know many people have read them and requested updates, though, and to you I apologize.
I would change quite a few of my stories if I looked back - especially the older ones - but usually in more minor ways, or at least I can stand the thought. These two... it's just not happening.
If anyone has any interest in taking up either story, feel free to PM me. They are both officially up for adoption.
New laptop! Yeah! Have started writing again, and by some miracle I was able to recover all my important files (that is, all my fanfic and nothing else, because the computer crashed right after that and I went for the fanfic before my old research papers and whatnot, ha).
Anyway, to anyone who actually reads this, I have this habit of writing tooons of different fanfic at once, though I only post some of it. Seriously, I have... *counts* 61 WIP fics on my laptop. I haven't posted any of. Yeah. Well, actually some of those are completed, but the purely indulgent ones probably won't be posted... Seriously, anyone want to read a bizarre Spock/Mudd fanfic? No? I didn't think so.
But I'm debating posting a few others (even though I'm still writing 'We All Fall Down', I know I know) and I was curious if anyone had any preferences for which I should start with, because they're WIP's and I should really put most focus on just one at a time. I'll be putting up a poll. So, the ones I'm considering posting soon:
Untitled1: James T. Kirk of the Terran Empire rescues a Vulcan on Tarsus IV, and the galaxy will never be the same. Mirrorverse, warning for murder/abuse/genocide/swearing/rape/slavery/suicide/basically anything else you can think of.
Untitled2: The first time Captain Kirk called Spock a half-breed, he put it from mind immediately; it was just for a mission, after all. The second time was similarly excused. By the third time, Spock was beginning to suspect a pattern. Because Spock is never angsty enough for me.
Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God: Or, some of the results of Castiel trying to cleanse the world, and the effects on the witnesses left behind. Godstiel. Occurs during 7.01 'Meet the New Boss'. Supernatural, obviously.
Falling Sideways: Castiel isn't so much falling as being shoved rather forcefully downward, and that was never how God intended things to happen. When he crosses the threshold, the angels accidentally change Castiel into something new altogether...
NOTE: I'm having a weird trouble with uploading stories; a lot of the letters are, er, symbols? Look kinda Japanese. It's weird. I posted a new story, Ni'Var, on Archive of Our Own. Star TrekxHis Dark Materials crossover. I'll try to get it posted here soon, but here's the summary:
Ni'Var: Vulcans have katras. Humans have daemons. And Spock, born of both, has neither. Which he's fine with. Really. Meanwhile, James Kirk is a little curious about this whole daemon business, because how on earth can he have two souls - ? (Slash)
Djibriel & MatsumotoXD were kind enough to draw up some awesome fanart for Reflect.
