Author has written 2 stories for Teen Titans, and Inheritance Cycle.
I was so obsessed with fanfction that I forgot how to live in the real world. I would spend hours and hours reading stories and just waste a whole day on the computer. Think about it--time is worth more than money. You can't stop time. You can't get any of it of back. Why are you wasting so much time on things that don't last? That only give you temporary pleasure? Why do we prefer to be closed off to the world and to the people around us? Take a few minutes and look up from this computer screen. What do you see? What do you notice?
Not only that, but there is a lot of content on fanfiction that I'm not comfortable with. Content that doesn't go along with the morals I stand for and with what I believe. Using an abundant amount of profanity does not make you look cool and it doesn't make your writing look better. I look at stories like that and think, "Does this person know any other words in the English language?". Please understand, I'm not trying to condemn everyone and everything on fanfiction. I'm not saying everything is terrible and immoral. I've enjoyed reading many stories on this site and have learned from them.
What I'm trying to say is that fanfiction can't rule your life. It can't be the number one thing for you. You have a life to live! You're worth so much, so much more than dallying online reading fanfiction. So get up from the computer, call up a friend, go on a walk, breathe the fresh air outside, and enjoy the fact that you are alive and that you have so much going for you. Read a few stories now and then, but don't spend your entire life on fanfiction.net!
Fanfiction for me was an addiction, you know? Not a "bad" one like drugs or smoking or whatever, but nevertheless, an addiction. Something that pulled me away from the things I love and want to do.
One more thing I would like to share: I love Jesus, and I'm not ashamed. And because I love God, I want to please Him. I want to do what He has commanded to be right. That's why I'm not comfortable with some content on fanfiction. But like I said before, not everything on here is bad. There are great stories, good stories, and great people. I thank a brave fanfiction author who inspired me to add this paragraph.
I thought I was done with fanfiction, but one wonderful story, A Message by Dearheart, has drawn me back. It's given me hope. I will not be active and will really only be a once in a long while visitor since I will be busy with college and life.
And finally, The Party Never Stops is finished! Thank you for sticking with me!
God bless you all.
