Author has written 15 stories for Inkheart, Inheritance Cycle, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hunger Games, Game of Thrones, and Harry Potter.
Welcome to my now revamped profile. I've done a lot of cleaning up around this account in the past few weeks. For one thing I've deleted a lot of my early fics which 1) were really, really bad and written in my middle school years back when I was still a young writer, and 2) weren't getting views anymore anyway. So the two Zelda fanfics, one of my Inkheart fanfics and the Harry Potter fanfics are taken down now. I have them in an archive just in case there are riots in the streets but I very much doubt there will be. If there comes a time when I feel I can revamp and rewrite these fics to their fullest potential I will, but give the juvenile nature of many ideas, I am doubtful.
Still in jeopardy of possible deletion is my Eragon fanfic (a short crack ending I wrote awhile back) simply because its not that funny to me anymore. It seemed pretty popular but it might be deleted soon. I'm going back and forth on the whole matter. My Inkpen series also might face deletion in the future simply because I find the majority of the fanfiction series to be lack luster now. However I know that one was also really popular so I am doubtful on that as well. If you have strong feelings on either of these, let me know.
Lightning Strike, while definitely not being deleted, is going to be getting a rewrite. I will leave the original up because of how much love it has received while I rewrite the first book. And even when the first book is completed, I will leave the old one up kind of as an archival fic. Its like a time capsule to see my writing then and now.
WHO AM I?
Alright, so who am I? My pen name is Kallypso. I've been writing on fanfiction for about six years now. Its been a long journey in the making. I started out pretty clueless, writing fics over flowing with mary sues, cliches and caps lock infected humor. I started out in the Cats fandom and obviously nothing I wrote was worth reading because it has all been long deleted. Still, it gave me my start and for that I am grateful.
I moved onto Zelda fanfiction in 7th grade, writing some of the worst self insert fiction ever. I thought it was funny at the time but I was twelve after all and my concept of humor was grossly under developed. As a result, the Zelda era fanfiction has also been deleted.
My first real fanfiction niche was in the Inkheart fandom where I wrote one stand alone fic that has been deleted and the Inkpen series which was my first truly popular fanfic. Despite starting out really rough, it grew into its own and I still hold it very close to my heart.
I started to hit my fanfiction stride in eighth grade. That was when I started the Lightning Strike series, my most popular series of fanfics, and found my true niche in the Fullmetal Alchemist fandom. I also started a series of Harry Potter fanfics but those have also been deleted. My best work continues to be done in the FMA fandom as in early high school I started Double Edged Blades which, while being neglected several times, is now completed. I consider Double Edged Blades one of my most consistently good works overall.
High school brought with it the start of other fanfictions. I began a Hunger Games fic which will be a stand alone story when completed. Most recently I started a Game of Thrones fic and I am taking painstaking efforts to do the show I love justice. This fic, while being long neglected, will return soon.
I am pleased with how my writing has evolved over time but I am most pleased with the wonderful fans and followers I have. They give great feedback and many have been reading my stuff for years. I never would have finished some of these fics if not for your support and reviews. The journey continues and hopefully I will continue to get better as time goes on.

COMPLETED FANFICTION INFORMATION
THE LIGHTNING STRIKE TRILOGY:
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Rating: T- for violence, language and some suggestive content
Summary: The trio of fanfics that brought me more reviews that about all of my other ones combined: Lightning Strike, Ashes and One Last Spark. Since they are three books, its only fair to give them each their own summary.
Lightning Strike: Liz, the Lightning Alchemist, is teamed up with Edward Elric solely because of their similarity in age. This is a problem of course because the two but heads like temperamental rams on every occasion. Liz wants to find the philosopher's stone almost as much as Ed, because when Ed is successful, she can receive her own missions and no longer be stuck with the irritating pipsqueak. But the closer they get to finding the philosopher's stone, the more Liz starts to get wrapped up in the quest and the more dangerous their mission becomes. And a certain, annoying homunculus with palm tree like hair is not helping with that. This takes place over the events of the first anime.
Ashes: The sequel to Lightning Strike, Liz finds herself trapped in another dimension, now with horrible attacks from the wound she sustained during her last fight, and a voice in her head that calls himself 'Truth'. She struggles to move on with life but when she runs into two certain people from her old world again, that becomes difficult. Now Liz and Edward have to try to get back home and prevent a secret organization from coming back with them. But is getting home worth the cost? Takes place over the events of the movie with a modified ending.
One Last Spark: The third book of my Lightning Strike series. Liz is still recovering from the effects of the events two years ago. But when some new homunculi operated by the still not dead Dante appear in Amestris it's clear that her journey is far from over. When Truth pulls some strings to accomplish his own ends, Envy, Lust and Wrath return from the gate and they, Liz and the Elric brothers must now, for the first time, willingly work together to shut Dante down and save Amestris from war and chaos. The adventure that follows is wrought with action, friendship, enemies, tragedy, levity, romance, and blood as Liz tries to untangle her feelings, sort out still covered truths and put an end to this twisted journey.
Pairings: Envy/OC, EdWin, Al/OC
Notes: This has probably been my favorite to write out of all of the others. I really have grown attached to Liz and I'm enjoying crafting my own story in the third book instead of working off the original plot. Original characters have gotten a bad name in a lot of fandoms, especially in the Fullmetal Alchemist fandom so I really try to make so OC's with more depth than a puddle of muddy rain water. Hope I do a good job with that.
DOUBLE EDGED BLADES:
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Rating: T- for violence, language, some suggestive content, and some dark angst
Summary: Cara became a thief after trying to run away from a fate that she could do nothing about. The isolated girl cares about no one but herself and nothing but surviving as long as possible with her mysterious and painful condition. Or so she has convinced herself. When she meets Chloe, a blind runaway alchemist who uses complex transmutation circles to see with her feet, she takes her on as a useful assistant. When they meet the Elric brothers Cara makes the decision to use them to try and get to the philosopher's stone, in order to extinguish her condition and cure Chloe's blindness. But she get's more involved with both Chloe and the brothers than she hoped and becomes torn between two very real sides of herself as she finds out the reason for her condition. There is no easy way out for Cara no matter how she wishes she could run.
Pairings: EdxOCxEnvy (Ugh... love triangles. I don't how you guys talked me into this), AlxOC
Notes: As far as writing goes this has probably been my best consistent writing. Like it actually started off well enough that I don't cringe when I read the beginning. It was harder for me to write because Cara became a very difficult character for me but I do enjoy it and I enjoy exploring the characters in it. I hope you guys enjoy it too.
THE INKPEN TRILOGY:
Rating: T for violence and language
Summary: Another trilogy so its only fair to give them all their own summary again.
Inkpen: Callypso can write things to life, a powerful gift that makes her of interest to dangerous people. When Capricorn locates her after years of searching, she is kidnapped and must work together with Meggie, Mo, Dustfinger and a host of other characters to escape Capricorn's village. Her friend Kat isn't staying out of the mix either and will do anything to get her friend to safety. But can they escape such a powerful man? Takes place over the course of Inkheart. As the first book, it is kind of crap. I am not a fan of it. But it gets better in the other books.
Inkfate: Taking a different turn from the Inkheart series, this sequal stays in the real world. Even after moving to America, Callypso can't escape as she is found again, three years later, by Capricorn who has also relocated in order to find more people with gifts. Now Kat is dragged into the mess with her, along with their new friend, a brilliant mind reader named Johanna. They once again must escape Capricorn with the help of other prisoners and make it to safety. Still not the best quality writing but it is an original story line, just with the same characters. So its improving.
Inkfall: Third book in my Inkpen series. Callypso cannot escape her past no matter how she tries. She can't escape that fact that she's a writer and she can't escape Capricorn's reach even though she faked her own death a few years previously. So upon the return of some black jackets she paticularly hates she makes the executive desicion to stop running and put an end to her antagonists with all of her old friends, including Kat and Jo. But fate is still messing with her as she discovers that her friends are not the only ones who have changed. An enemy has too.
Pairings: OC/OC but this fic is really low on romance.
Notes: I mentioned before this is a series I have been working on longer than any others. The first two books I wrote suck. I'd like to think the third doesn't. But hey give them a try if you want because they have their moments and I do like how my OCs have fit into the story. I find OCs are much more accepted in the Inkheart fandom so really I've been focusing less on making people love my OCs and more on creating a whole new plot for these books. When this book concludes I'll be uploading a depressing alternate third book because I really like the idea for it. Give this one a shot if you can ignore some of the crap at the beginning of the series
HIDDEN BITTER DARKNESS:
Fandom: Hunger Games
Rating: T for language and violence. It is a hunger games fic after all... when is there not violence?
Summary: An AU story where Peeta died during the hunger games and Katniss was the sole victor. Because the crowds like the forbidden love angle so much, the game makers decide that the first person reaped for the games should be put into the arena with the person they care about most. Age and gender don't matter. Willow is reaped from district 12 and put into the arena with her twin sister Holly. The stakes are higher than ever now, and everyone is fighting twice as hard to keep the ones they love alive. But who will make it out? Willow? Holly? Or neither.
Pairings: There's one OC/OC pairing. Also Haymitch/Katniss if you squint.
Notes: This will end up being one of my shorter fanfictions once its over and it was meant to be a tragedy and an experiment with character development. Its about halfway done, as of now, though I update rather sporadically. I enjoy many of the tributes I've created and I've devised some lovely deaths for most of them. Its not really spoiler... its just the Hunger Games.
IN-PROGRESS FANFICTION INFORMATION
LIGHTNING STRIKE: AFTERSTORY
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Rating: T for language, violence and some suggestive situations.
Summary: Life goes on for Liz, Envy, Ed, Al and the others after the events of the Lightning Strike Trilogy. And while nothing might match the drama of that struggle, there's still a lot of life to live and a lot of friendship, love, happiness, sadness, action and adventure to go with it. A series of one-shots, two-shots, and more-shots about life after Lightning strike.
Pairings: EnvyxOC, Edwin, AlxOC
Notes: I just couldn't abandon these characters for long. I like them too much. Liz has developed a lot since I first started writing her and I wanted to continue to do so. This is really just for fun and while there's no epic storyline there will still be plenty of laughs, action and angst. Hope you enjoy the continuation of their journey.
LIGHTNING STRIKE REWRITE:
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Rating: T for language and violence.
Summary: Same summary as the first Lightning Strike and the same story. This is simply a rewrite to improve the quality of the fic and bring it up to the level of its sequels. It will still have the same Liz and the same sarcastic sense of humor but said humor will be a bit more mature. Spelling errors will also be fixed.
Pairings: EnvyxOC, hints of Edwin
Notes: As I've said, I love Lightning Strike but I started the fic five years ago and it shows its age. Its not particularly well written and though it has its moments, it can be a lot better. I think I owe these improvements to the people who have stuck with the series for so long and now have come to expect more out of me. Hope you like the changes and updates!
EDGE OF LIGHTNING:
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Rating: T for language and violence. Same as all my other FMA stuff.
Summary: Ed and Alphonse are sent on a supposedly simple job to investigate a mysterious sickness spreading throughout a small village for alchemic foul play. In the process they pull three new players into Amestris' twisted game. Chloe Brooks, a blind alchemist just trying to help her brother cure the village, Liz Parker, the newly dubbed Lightning Alchemist and soon to be reluctant partner of the brothers, and Cara, a spiteful homunculus of mysterious origin. What part will they have to play as Father starts to set the country in motion toward disaster? And how will they effect each other along the way? Brotherhood canon!
Pairings: EnvyxOC, EdxOC, little bit of AlxOC and a mystery pairing :)
Notes: Here it is. The big collaboration. In this fanfic, my three old FMA OCs meet in a brotherhood canon fic. While some elements will be the same (namely their personalities), all of the characters are getting back story makeovers. Chloe's back-story stays pretty similar in how it effects her, Liz gets a WHOLE lot more dramatic and Cara's downright changes all together. So it should be a lot of fun to experiment with. Hope you enjoy the ride along with me!
CRIMSON MEMORY, GOLDEN FATE:
Fandom: Game of Thrones
Rating: T for language, violence and future suggestive themes. Nothing too graphic though. I'm assuming that if a person reads Game of Thrones fanfiction, nothing is too graphic for them -.-'
Summary: Nim's life began at fifteen when she woke with no name and no memory. For three years, she makes a new life , learning combat from a man named Lantos. But when a "training exercise" lands her in combat with the infamous, Jaime Lannister, Nim the Nameless finds herself thrust into the deadly game of thrones and discovers that she may not be as nameless as she seems.
Pairings: That's a spoiler... It does involve Jaime but... trust me its a spoiler.
Notes: I told myself I wouldn't do this... but then the idea got hooked in my head and festered into something I couldn't control. The more well done a show is, the more careful I want to be about fanfiction. Game of Thrones is one of the best shows I've ever watched so I was hesitant to write fanfiction for it. Jaime is also, recently, one of my favorite characters and I'd like to explore him in a fic. The romance here is VERY slow growing, which I think people have come to expect from me. But this probably moves slower than any of the others I've done simply because I'm trying so hard to get it right... Hopefully the result is favorable.
So this is a section for secret, future projects that I'm not yet starting but will give hints to as the year goes on. I'm still working out the details but I can give you sparse information for now.
Code Name: The Marauders Project
Fandom: Harry Potter
Rating: T for language, violence and suggestive situations
What I can say Right Now: This fanfic will take place in the years Harry's parents went to school. It will follow not just the marauders but also Lily, Frank and Alice Longbottom, Severus Snape and Narcissa Malfoy. It will also have one OC but she will fit right into the ensemble cast. No one character will be featured. Another fun tidbit: Its going to be 81 chapters long *faints* We'll see how well I do with that.
Slated date of Release: September, 2014
