Author has written 7 stories for Inuyasha, and Misc. Anime/Manga.
Hi, I'm a huge Inuyasha fan, but I started reading Rumiko Takahashi's manga back in the 1980's with Urusei Yatsura. I have also enjoyed her other manga: Ranma 1/2, Half Pound Gospel and Rumic Theater. (All of these manga are great and I would truly recommend them, though I must say that Rumiko's writing style has improved immensely over the years. I guess you can say her style has matured.)
In real life I am a hopeless romantic. Luckily, my husband is pretty romantic and my daughter--well she's just cute. They both put up with my Inuyasha stories. I majored in English Literature in college and never bothered to use the skill after I graduated. Everyone seemed more impressed with my computer skills! So after a long absence I have started to write again. I have written a few Inuyasha's fanfics, everything is complete and I have another story in the making.
I am also working on a fictional book which I hope to get published someday. (They have nothing to do with Inuyasha...sorry...) It is a thriller based in the Middle East, mixing the styles of Dan Brown and Tom Clancy.
My online name, Ai Kisugi, comes from a minor character in 'Catseye', a manga series in the 1980's by Tsusaka Hojo. They recently released the TV series out in English. It's a wonderful story that is a mix between Charlies Angel's and the Pink Panther. 'Ai' means 'Love'. Catseye was the very first manga that I ever read and I have been reading manga ever since.

How to Write
I don't know why, but I've been asked by a few aspiring writer's on 'FanFiction.Net' about how to write. So here's a quick tipsheet on my thoughts on what you need to do to be a writer:
#1: Read, read, read. Read the great stuff. Read the classics: Shakespeare ('A Grudging Loss' has some of Romeo and Juliet in it and 'He's My Girl' has some 12th Night in it), Jane Austen ('Future Incarnations' had some Pride and Prejudice in it), The Iliad and the Odyssey (just get past all of those long lists of names), Beowolf. Read some good modern writers: Neil Gaiman, JK Rowling, Stephenie Meyer, Frank Herbert, C.S. Lewis. I still read 2-3 novels a week. Before I write on my stories I always prime myself by reading some excellent writing before I begin.
#2: Live a full and complete life so that you have real life experiences to draw from in your writing. I recently read 'Eragon' and I was so annoyed with the story since the author had definitely never truly fallen in love to have written what he did. Gag! You need real life experiences to write. Traveling is the best thing to do. I've been to Japan, Europe and one part of the Middle East. Seeing other countries broadens your horizons and lets you see past your own culture's prejudices. Ernest Hemingway wouldn't have been the excellent writer that he was if he had not traveled all over Europe, volunteered as a medic in WWII and then lived in the US and Cuba.
#3: Write, write, write. I've been writing since I was a kid. It's a passion of mine. I don't think I could stop writing if I wanted to. I wasn't very good at first. Practice makes perfect.

Silly Human Mating Rituals-COMPLETE
The story "Silly Human Mating Rituals" came about when my daughter asked me what happened to Inuyasha and Kagome after episode 167. I told her a little bit about the manga and what was currently happening.
I wrote the story with Rumiko Takahashi's writing in mind. I wanted to keep everything in character, but I wanted Inuyasha to have a definite ending and well, a sex scene. Takahashi would NEVER write a sex scene. We'll be lucky if Kagome and Inuyasha ever kiss. So this story was just a bit of a catharsis for me. A way to conclude the series based on Takahashi's style, but with a rated 'R' twist.
By the way, the wedding scene where every character from the entire series shows up is right out of Rumiko Takahashi's 'Ranma 1/2.' The very last manga of Ranma 1/2 has the two main characters marrying and every person from the series (even characters who would want to stop the wedding) show up. Of course, it makes for a comic ending. Inuyasha isn't as comic as Ranma 1/2, but I figured that if Takahashi ends things with a wedding scene, she will have all of the characters from the series appear.
I'm quite sure that the story will be ending with Inuyasha and Kagome stuck in the past. I'm also quite sure that Inuyasha and Kagome will get married. Why you ask? If you read "Fire Tripper" one of the "Rumic Theater" one shots or if you ever saw the video (I think it came out in the early 1990's) then you can see the similarities to Inuyasha. That series ended with a wedding for the two main characters, a girl from the future and a boy from the past. (Go to to look at scans of the manga.) But if I know anything about Rumiko, I knew that there would be no steamy sex scenes between the main characters. So I wrote "Silly Human Mating Rituals" to tie up some loose ends and to get a sex scene in for the two of them.
Oh and this is just in. The series has ended with Chapter 558! I won't spoil the ending for you. All I can say is that I got some things right and some things wrong. Watch Inuyasha: the Final Act on Hulu.com!
Future Incarnations: Inuyasha 2030-COMPLETE
Feudal Association, 1st Place, Best AU/AR, July 2012 Term.
"Future Incarnations: Inuyasha 2030" is a sequel to "Silly Human Mating Rituals" albeit set in the future. This story follows the group as they reincarnate in the future: Tokyo 2030. Demons are still around and Kagome is being threatened. Why is she being targeted? Can Inuyasha, Miroku and Sango help to save her before it is too late?
This is a continuation of my previous story since Inuyasha had wished to be with Kagome forever, this life and the next. He had specifically wished to live with her if she reincarnated. After he originally wished on the Shikon no Tama he lived with Kagome for another 300 years. Eventually they died within one week of each other. Then they reincarnated...
So here they are, born in 2012, living in 2030 Tokyo. They barely remember their past in fleeting fragments of memories. Inuyasha is able to remember more than anyone else since he was the one to make the wish. But evil is brewing...what can they do to stop it?
A Grudging Loss-COMPLETE
Eternal Destiny Award. 3rd Place, Best Otherworld. September 2009.
This is an AU story set in present day Los Angeles, CA. (And my only Inuyasha story so far that is not set in Japan.) Inuyasha and Kagome are rival college sports players. The story has facets of Inuyasha, Romeo and Juliet, college sports and a struggling rock band. How does that all relate to each other? Well, take a gander and read. It's complete! This story has actually been a favorite of mine. It is actually so much better written than my previous two stories, but that may have something to do with my wonderful betas who have pushed me (sometimes past my comfort zone) to write even better prose.
Without spoiling the ending, I will tell you that when I first envisioned it both the beginning (which is the first 3 chapters) and the ending (the last 3 chapters) were clearly mapped out. So all I can tell you is that this story will have a very clear ending that bookends nicely with the beginning. Lots of romance, some angst, some rock music and college sports (Inuyasha style) of course.
Slight spoilers... Don't read if you want to be surprised with this story. Now I did want to hide certain aspects of this story, but I've had a lot of people who wished they had known these little tidbits about the story before it began. Tidbit #1: This story pits USC (University of Shikon Cadets) vs. UCLA (Universal College of the Lost Arts). (Anyone from Southern California will get a kick out of this story.) One college is for the holy order and one college is for demons. Tidbit #2: This is actually an alterego story. I won't say who or when or why, but there is someone pretending to be someone else in this story. I'm a huge fan of alterego stories and couldn't resist throwing one in there.

Co-authored with the talented Karaumea. When Sesshomaru said he would help them, Inuyasha and Kouga, the notorious bad boys, did not expect to find themselves as two of the hottest girls in a boarding school. Inu/Kag Rated for language and sexual situations.
You cannot imagine all of the scenes that Karaumea and I dreamed up while coming up with ideas for this sexy comedy. Here's just one little zinger to consider--Inuyasha in a really cute sailor suit and miniskirt! Oh God! It's great. I was crying tears of laughter when I wrote some scenes. Read and hopefully you'll be laughing as well. Poor Inuyasha. (Don't worry, we'll make sure he isn't suffering the entire time. He's going to have some fun as well.)
What happened to 'He's My Girl'? This tale was co-authored by myself and Karaumea. We had the story posted on both of our profiles, but the System Admins from Fan Fiction decided to delete my copy. You can still read it on Karamuea's link. However, I would urge you to read it at An Archive of Our Own archiveofourown.org/works/339593 or Eternal Destiny www.ik-eternal.net/viewstory.php?sid=920, which both support co-authoring. 'He's My Girl' was also deleted on Adult Fan Fiction because the Admins thought we were asking for reviews. Go figure... Keep in mind that neither Karaumea nor myself would ever delete our stories once they are put online. So if they dissapear, you know that we didn't do the deleting.
The Inuyasha Support Group-COMPLETE
Eternal Destiny, 2nd Place, Best Fable (One Shot) September 2009.
Co-authored with Eggry, Hedanicree and Karaumea. This one shot started when I was e-mailing Eggry and telling her how we both really needed to apologize to Inuyasha for all of the messes we were putting him through in our stories. Then I couldn't stop and I quickly typed up the beginning and end of 'The Inuyasha Support Group.' I offered to let Eggry, Hedanicree and Karaumea join in on the fun. The whole point was for us authors to apologize to Inuyasha for putting him through hell. Egg and I both apologized profusely. Hedanicree and Karaumea went a different route. All I can say is that I thought it was pretty funny. It's all about the four of us (Inu/Kag authors) sitting down with Inuyasha and Kagome and what transpires. You should get a few giggles out of reading it.
When We Awaken-WORK IN PROGRESS
Feudal Association, 1st Place, Best 'In-Character' Fiction, March/April of 2013.
Feudal Association, 1st Place, Best Inuyasha/Kagome Romance Fiction, April 2014.
This story has been sitting with me for a while and I was lucky to have the help of Eggry, Karaumea and SplendentGoddess to help to brainstorm this piece. I hope that I pull a few zingers (what I call a 'Kara twist') in this new story. One of those twists was revealed in chapter seven and now two more will eventually follow.
I actually started work on this story about four months before my first posting. I don't like it when authors write stories that they quickly abandon. I wanted to have a few chapters under my belt before I started to post. I will try my best to be posting once a month. If I don't post on time, a nice review or PM tends to get me pretty motivated to continue.
