![]() Author has written 27 stories for Kim Possible. Let's see OK. I am male. Well over fifty, and a grandfather. If you flame me I will come over and make you watch slide shows of my grand daughter until your eyes pop out (and you all thought Shego was evil). I work for a major corporation in a factory. I am a skilled tradesman and have been for thirty years. I am an Amateur Radio Operator, also known a HAM operator. I have trained in marital arts for years and have earned a fourth dan and am a master instructor. I am a veteran and am protective of our men and women in uniform. I got into Kim Possible by watching the show. Enjoyed it and still do. I like the way Kim is portrayed mostly. She does try to be an average girl. She is sometimes a bit weird around the hottie boys. She can do anything and that includes screwing up. She is highly talented athletically and mentally, though not emtionally. She isn't complete until she has her best friend, Ron Stoppable, with her. In most ways he is her opposite. Neither make a fully complete person by themselves, but together they do. Both have to grow up a lot. Ron in different ways than Kim. His weaknesses are more apparent than Kim's, but she still has them. In my mind they fit like a puzzle when they are together. She is a straight line thinker, Ron is all over the place. He doesn't follow set rules, that's part of why he's an outcast. I don't see Ron Stoppable as being the "loser". If he's that way it's an act. I don't see how anyone that can do or even attempt to do what he has done along side Kim Possible can be considered a loser. That is unless he's compared to her. If that was the case then 90 per cent of the boys in Middleton High are losers as well. As for buffoon it's too close to baboon and we all know how he thinks about monkeys (now re-thinking about that Spectre had an interesting take on Ron being a buffoon or better yet jester in one of the last chapters of 'Silence'). I guess like most I began reading first because I was a bit low after the show went off the air and needed to get my KP fix everyday. Now I have decided to do some writing with my less then highly developed skills (thank God for beta readers in general and CajunBear in particular). Influences in FF. There's quite a few, but I'm going to list the ones that come to mind. Spectre666, CajunBear73, The Wise Duck, CaptainKodak1, Jeriddian, Daccu65, Commander Argus, G-go, Zaratan, Nutzkie, Thomas Linquist, MrDrP, Whitem, Screaming Phoenix, Waveform, Yankee Bard, Eckles, RyeBread, Classic Cowboy, JAKT and Samurai Crunchbird, and Armydude. That doesn't mean that I haven't learned something from a lot of writers that I didn't mention. As for the stories I like the Kim and Ron pairing. It works for me and if you want to call me a Kim and Ron shipper then I can't argue. Now I have been accused of taking Ron out and working him over pretty well. I guess I do, but he gets the girl of his dreams in the end and sometimes he thinks the light at the end of the tunnel might be an on coming train. So I suppose he forgives me until I have more fun for him again. Now Kim does get worked over herself too a bit, but it's more on the emotional end. Just wait till you see what happens to one of my favorite minor characters, Steve Barkin, you will just love me for that. For the stories. 'Once Again' was sort of a last minute lark. It's the latest thing I've written, but the first published. I have posted the latest tale in the 'Once Again' series called 'Revenge and Reversal'. Now that it's done I have a one shot coming up. As Spectre said, "they can't say you didn't give them fair warning!" Now for something serious. One of the best KP authors ever passed away not too long ago. Take time and smell the roses, enjoy life. It is fragile. Commander Argus was an excellent writer. He had a lot of respect for those of us that are left to fill his shoes. Though I never met this wonderful man, I think the world of him. Let's hope he's waiting for us when it's our time so that we can swap stories. I salute you Nelson, God speed and a safe journey. I hope to see you on the other side. Just up: as of 6/13/09 certain parts of 'Once Again' have been re-written. When I first published the story I had no idea that people would ask for a prequel. I am in the process of writing those and should be done by the end of the month. As I explored the concept I realized that there was much to do with the story line and had changed it some when I published 'Winter Adventure', 'Broken Promise' and soon 'Separate Lives'. Most of 'Once Again' is still in place as an original, but some minor details have been changed a bit. The other day my wife woke me up at 2 AM. I couldn't get back to sleep and I came down to the dungeon here and decided to look at a 'Classified Title' again. Well with one eye open I began to see flaws. I asked myself, 'who wrote this trash?', then I realized I did. So that is in re-write now. I hope to have all the chapters done before I begin to post it sometime in the spring. Yes that WAS the plan. Until I thought up 'Classified Title' and Eckles talked me into writing another 'Classified Title'. At this pont I'm not sure which I will begin. But I won't start until both 'Out There in Here' (a collab with CajunBear)--OH late update CB changed the title to 'Classified Title'-- I guess 34 chapters in it and CB will be posting it around the end of the year. If you are all wondering about the 'Classified Title' garbage...I was working on a story when another author posted a piece that had the same title as the one I was working on. I am changing that title and am keeping those to myself and my beta from now on about any work that has not been posted yet. I do not want anyone to confuse mine with that author's work. One more thing while I remember. I promise to review any story that gets my attention and I enjoy. However, I will review those that I don't enjoy, if I see promise in them. I will respond to every review I get as well. Earlier in August of 2010 I had a minor stroke and it's taking a while to get back up to speed. So I have moved my dictionary back to the desk and refer to it a lot. I am getting back to 'normal'...hey don't look at me like that...but it will take a while. The writing is getting easier now that I don't have to search too hard in my head to say what I want to. Also I am almost finished with my end of my first collaberation that being with CB73. He was at the house earlier in August and we went over a few things. Also I am writing a set of short stories in one of Guns Knives and Napalm's ARCs with his permission. All stories will be submitted to him after beta so they meet with his approval. If he says no then it won't be posted. There are twenty-nine of these and I am finishing the ninth one. After I get about twelve done I will post a couple of them (maybe). Don't count on them being written on anyone's whim but my own (however since they are short that means that sometimes I can do two in a day). Now that 'R&R' is completed, I am working on another realitive long work. I don't know how long as yet, but I know that it will have a minimum of 25 chapters in it since I'm writing the 25th at the moment. When that is done, or maybe before I have a rewrite coming down for something which no one but Spectre666 and CB73 have seen yet. I expect it to go at least 50 chapters. Sentinel 103 |
