Author has written 13 stories for Pokémon, Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Smash Brothers, and Okami.
Welcome to my profile, 100% (well more like 98%) new! Feel free to browse through it for a few minutes, or if you just wish to see my stories, go ahead and scroll past it all. I will advise you though that all of my oneshots and micro-stories (a story with 3 or fewer chapters) are rather...bleh. They're leftovers from when I first started out here, and I'm leaving them up so people can see how I started and how far I've progressed. Who knows? Perhaps it will inspire a hesitant writer to give this place a shot?
If you decided to stick around, good for you. Before you read further, I hope that I can get you to understand something about me. As much fun as I find writing to be, sadly fanfiction has to occupy a low spot on the priority list. Simple fact is, life throws things at me that have to be dealt with or simply get in the way of me writing. My updates are sporadic at best and few and far between at the worst. Please be patient with me and don't demand updates. Your review is much better used to actually review the story in question and that is far more encouraging to me than a blunt demand. :)
Now, you're more than welcome to use your review however you want, providing it pertains to the story in question, but I ask that you try to stick to a few simple guidelines when reviewing my work. They are as follows:
First of all, please be descriptive! Don't just say "that chapter was good" tell me what about it was good! Nothing bothers me more than finding a single sentence review that, while positive, provides little to no feedback at all.
Secondly, if I make a mistake, point it out politely. Don't yell and scream, that only bothers me and I'm less likely to take your review seriously. Calmly point it out and explain what I did wrong. I will get to repairing the problem as fast as I can.
Third, don't be afraid to make suggestions! If you like the story so far, but have a tip or suggestion for making my writing better, don't be afraid to share it! Regardless of whether or not I take your advice, I will consider it at the very least.
Lastly, and I can't stress this enough, do NOT flame or troll. I do not appreciate such material in the slightest and will immediately ban you from further reviews if you leave such a thing. If you do not like the stuff I write, you can simply go away. Don't waste your time and mine by writing such garbage. Thank you. :)
Now then, if that wall of text hasn't put you to sleep yet, you may either read on (though I warn you, more text walls are sure to follow) or skip down to the stories and begin reading. It is my earnest hope that, at the very least, you enjoy my work and consider it well spent time.
(Notice: This currently applies to all chapters and/or stories updated/published since 10/17/09. All material posted before this date may or may not conform to these rules.)
(Second Notice: As of 6/16/10 private thoughts are now in single quoted italics'.)
This is just an explanation of how I use diffierent font styles to denote different speech/aspects of a story.
Italics: This is used to distinguish private thoughts. If a single italic word appears in the middle of an otherwise non-italic sentence, it means that that word is pressured in some way to resemble sarcasm or seriousness.
"Quoted Italics": These mark either telepathic conversations (mainly used by Mewtwo in SSBC and Gardevoir in TLJ) or some sort of speech coming through a speaker (like the intercom system so prevalent in the early chapters of SSBC).
Bold: Either extremely loud shouts or to seperate an authorial note from the rest of a chapter.
Normal: Basic speech that is no different than how you'd speak to your best friend.
Beginning and Ending notes will be separated from the rest of the chapter by a line break; for aesthetic reasons.
All chapters uploaded from this date onward will contain at least 3,000 words. This isn't to make more reading for you fans, but to make sure I don't skimp off on any descriptions or details.
Also, I write in present tense. I have received several reviews commenting on the fact that I write in present tense when I should be writing in past tense. Get off your high horse. There is no rule ANYWHERE on this site or in literature that fiction must be written in past tense (And don't argue with me, I've asked an English Professor. She confirmed it). If this simple thing somehow renders my story hideous to your eyes, there is a back button in the upper corner of your screen that will make it go away. Don't waste time leaving it in a review.
Why? Well, the answer is simple. To me, past tense stories feel like someone is telling you what happened, after it happened (makes sense, right?). However, present tense feels as though it unfolds right before your eyes like watching a TV show or movie. Its not a boring re-tell of what happened, the events and dialogue are occuring as you read and (honestly) I love how that feels; being right alongside the characters as each event plays out.
What did I say? Several months before an update to this thing. Anyways, new point of notice; I've been dormant for the longest time and I think its about time to shake that off. I'll be more or less free for a good period of time, so its about time I got back to the very place that launched my writing love to begin with.
To start, I'm not going to "focus" on anyone story in particular; instead just pounce on the ideas as they come. Though, to be fair, Super Smash Bros. Clash will be my main target.
Second, I'm going to launch what I'm calling Operation Upgrade. My writing has improved drastically since however long ago it was that I last updated, and I'm going to put those new skills to use. Any chapter from one of my flagship stories (the little ones will be left as is, again to show what I was like when I first started) that I feel is too small, a bit choppy, or whatever will be subject to an upgrade which should (Hopefully ;) improve the quality and make it a better piece of the whole. Don't stress, no chapter will be entirely re-written or scrapped, just polished up and given a couple more bells and a few more whistles. ;)
Hmm...the opening to SSBC is a little rough...perhaps overhauling that will get me back in the swing of things to continue that? ;)
(Don't expect updates to any story in the next day or two. It'll take a bit of time to piece together what I have planned.)
...oh, and I'll be gradually reconstructing this profile, but I'm trying out this new "feed" section to give any fans (or curious passerby) that decide to swing by this page the current news on my Fanfiction stuff.
