A Writer Must Write What He Has To Say, Not Speak It
I am merely a Christian, Californian, hopeless dreaming romantic... in a nutshell. And I am very imaginative... A college student working gradually to earn a degree and transfer for art. My whole dream is to become a fictional author and illustrator. I am an obvious Disney lover and Victor Hugo fanatic and a lover of God's creations. I grew up enjoying writing scenarios with my favorite film characters and thus fanfiction writing became a hobby. Here are a few of my major plots.
Heaven's Light Two years after the tyranny brought forth by the late Minister of Justice, a threat comes over the French Kingdom. From the Spanish neighbors, an entire crew of Brigands storm through the land without mercy, in search of something. Or someone. The bell ringer of France's most trusted capital keeps his home well observed and warns the People to keep a watchful eye by ringing the voices. His life still lonesome, until someone comes, in need of his help, love and protection. A little girl, small and sickly, he brings into his humble loft, unknowing that the hours to come...that his lonesome life is about to change.
This one came up one summer when I had the small idea, or scenario of sweet Quasimodo saving and sheltering a starving orphan and a much bigger idea followed, which was inspired by the story of Sleeping Beauty, and while keeping a dark theme of how Victor Hugo had in his writings. This one fanfiction, or rather, fanNovel, is the only one I am passionately working on, being that my own original ideas are scattered all over. The little girl is more than what she seems, a blind woman who is distant and nasty, a vegabond is more scared than merciless. There are many ideas I'm juggling with this piece and it's almost finished. Also, after this is done, I might provide aftermath episodes; not so much as a sequel, but more character development. I have a fancy for the olden days. I have finished the first part of this plot, but I guarantee that there will be more to this.
GypsyHawke; Kind of a spin on this old movie called LadyHawke, but I want to put more than just the love story. Quasimodo discovers a hawk sheltering in his bell tower and tends to her hurts, not knowing that there is something dark about the bird. He would soon discover when the moon rises.
It all only started out as a Pirates of the Caribbean idea, but I scrapped it. I found a better universe that would fit the plot line just right.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Heathen Rituss; Jack Sparrow is back but he is stuck in the middle of an odd mystery when death spreads through the sea like wild fire. Seals are found dead along beaches, skins are gathered from all over thanks to England's interference. But why kill vast numbers and just let them litter the sea like a plague? The pirate will soon discover that strong powers, both of piracy and royalty are searching for a creature who knows the whereabouts of an ancient evil power, held within the center of a Aztec artifact.
This plot changed many times the more I thought through it. I once wrote a Pirate series of them being transported to modern day with a self insert of myself in the story. Total mistake, self inserts and Mary Sues are a fail in writing! I admit I did it too! But I took that series down, on account of how badly written they were and got a much better idea. Exploring legends and studying Jack's witty, drunken character.
