Author has written 6 stories for Outsiders, and Ten Inch Hero.
My first fanfiction love is and will always be The Outsiders, but I recently branched out and wrote a couple fics for a lil indie flick called Ten Inch Hero. I highly recommend the movie to anyone who likes a good romantic dramedy. :)
I read The Outsiders at the age of 11 when my sister brought it home from her English class. Normally, whatever she had to do, I had to do 2 years later. But I am very glad I "stole" this book from her one day when I was sick at home and she was at school, because I devoured the book, adored it beyond words, and began writing fan fiction soon after.
I generally hate the following: slash fics, Curtis sister fics (with the sole exception of Samaryley's Scout series, which I recently (2012) read and found myself really enjoying, much to my irritation), insert-yourself-here fics, Mary Sues, etc. I am old school, and all I really want to see is stories that could be a natural extension of the book, a natural prequel to the book or fics that are otherwise in character and true to what The Outsiders really is. I'm sorry if that offends anyone, especially any of the very cool and kind people who read and review my fics (and who may or may not write some of the fics I won't generally read). It's nothing personal, and it isn't about whether you write well or not. It is about what makes me cringe. LOL
I enjoy reading fics (generally speaking) that respect canon. I enjoy reading fics for (of course) The Outsiders, Royal Pains, Ten Inch Hero (not enough of them out there!!!!), Supernatural, and Joan of Arcadia. One of these days I need to write down one of the Supernatural fics that has been persistent in my brain.
05-2016: Just so you know, I am still pretty current here. Feel free to leave reviews on old fics, in other words! :P Any author who claims they don't care about reviews is in deep, deep denial or a flat out liar.
