Eleven years on this site, and I've got a ton of housekeeping to get done. Recently I've had problems with my eyes, namely an auto-immune disorder that causes rampant inflammation, so my reading/writing's been slower than usual. It's been getting better, thus I'm able to move on to completing some of my unfinished stories.
Since I've had multiple requests asking for various stories to be completed, I'm leaving here a list of stories I will be continuing and completing for sure, and others I'm not so sure about. Hopefully that will clear some things up.
Additionally, I try my best to respond to all of my reviews via the dandy 'reply' button. If you review a story and don't get a PM from me, it's either because there's nothing to reply to, or I've just gotten really drun...er...sleepy. Very sleepy. I don't quite get the high volume of reviews and readers I once did, so it's easier these days to get back to all the feedbackers.
Working On/Going to Complete (not currently in order of priority):
The Other Nightmare
Soul and Bones
If the story you're looking for isn't listed here, it's either not on my mind currently, or I've just temporarily forgotten about it. The four listed above have A) the highest demand in the past few months, B) come really close to being completed anyway or C) are part of my present inspired fandom.
Monarchy (On Hold)
Why is this on Hold? If anyone's read the post-Season 5 books for Stargate: Atlantis, they might know a thing or two about the substance. Namely the fact that Teyla's returned to being Steelflower on Todd's ship in order to rescue Rodney...essentially, the published books contain a LOT of plot development I was intending for my story, including the friendship building thing with Teyla as his Queen. I'm sure it's just a major coincidence and all, and that none of my ideas were piloted, but the fact remains that I have to rehash everything I intended for the story. It's like building a castle, getting halfway through, and having to tear it down to rebuild it again because the neighbouring kingdom built one just like it. And I'm not getting paid for the work I put into it, unlike the author of the SGA books.
Two Galaxies (On Hold)
A friend of mine who I did, and kind of still currently beta for, is writing the spiritual sequel for my Same Side story. Two Galaxies will be resumed, possibly, but because of her ongoing story, I've decided to put the lid on this for now. I have a ton of other stories that must be completed before I can focus on sequels, I've realized, so this is on a back burner indefinitely.
Gamble! Pirate Trap (Verge of Deletion)
I won't go on a tangent about how disappointed I am in the selection of true 'nakamaship' stories for the One Piece universe, or my overzealous wish that 90% of what's available to read wasn't Sanji/Zoro slash and/or poorly written OC stories (because there are good ones...rare ones...just very rare). Won't get on about that at all. Point is, Gamble! was my attempt at writing something purely about the Straw Hats overcoming another dangerous adventure together, and the lack of readership on its part doesn't quite match the effort of writing an entire miniature arc that equally focuses on all 9 characters. It leads me to believe either the people looking for original One Piece stories only want OC 'sucked into One Piece' stories and OOC romances, or they've given up on this section of the site. Frankly, I'm tired of putting things delicately.
TL;DR version: I'm on the fence about deleting Gamble! entirely and starting with something fresh.
