This started as a 30-day challenge to post something 1000 words or less every day from a one-word prompt. I extended the challenge to 40 days, and now that I'm in school I find this too much fun to stop completely, and so I will be trying to update every weekend or every other weekend at the very least. Most of them are Legolas - Thranduil centered!

Part 2 of What It Means to be a King: In the cold cave of Forochel, Sauron rises again. Using his prior experience with the Elves, Sauron seduces Celebrimbor to make the Rings of Power. And in the east of the Misty Mountains, Thranduil returns to his father and learns the meaning of joy again, unaware that Sauron never forgets nor does he forgive.

Second Age Lindon: Sauron chances upon an opportunity to penetrate Lindon where the young King Gil-galad struggles to rule a newborn realm. Desperate to unify his people torn apart by the tragedies of the First Age, Gil-galad forces Oropher to leave behind his young son to be trained and educated alongside Elrond, hoping the two kinsmen could become a bridge between their people.

A journal entry... or perhaps just a peek into the mind. Experience a fiery tragedy of the Last Alliance by a would be king who actually survived it.

A trade delegation from the south visits Mirkwood and Thranduil and Legolas are highly suspicious.

A lot can happen in five days. When Estel is ill and needs help that Legolas cannot give him, they seek aid in a hostile village. But safety for one means danger for the other, and Legolas will need Estel's assistance in the end. A story of friendship, prejudice, and mercy.

On his way to an elvish settlement Legolas disappears and Thranduil nearly despairs, not knowing that his son has lost his memories and doesn't remember his family and home.

"It was difficult to enjoy these beautiful lands when you were waiting anxiously for a dear one to come enjoy them with you. " Celebrian attempt to comfort and reassure Legolas that he will see his father again soon, and that he will not fade instead of sailing west.

Legolas is a young wood elf- the equivalent of a 15 year old human- and goes to visit Rivendell. What happens when he, Elladan, and Elrohir get taken captive by orcs while on a hunting trip? (Rated T just to be safe)

When Legolas suffers his first serious injury after the death of his mother, it is Thranduil who finds him. Both are confronted with new fears that linger even years after her death and seek to navigate new realities.

Legolas has to say goodbye to a longtime friend.

Returning from a hunting trip, Legolas comes across an animal in need and makes a serious mistake.

Thorin and Thranduil find themselves swept away from the battlefield. Forced to spend time together, both dwarf and elf prove to be formidable characters, and anger soon raises its head. Now complete.

On his first trip to Rivendell Legolas slips out of the twins care and makes a new friend, who almost has a somewhat unfortunate end but is saved by a 'daring' rescue mission.

Thranduil sits by an injured Legolas's bedside, lamenting the stillness of his son. A short story about Legolas, told from Thranduil's perspective and thoughts.

In Desolation of Smaug, we all saw the scene where Thranduil reveals his scar. It is unknown to us how he got it though, so here is the story that tells us what really happened. Why was Thranduil confronting a dragon? How will Legolas react when he sees his father's injury? Will Lord Elrond be able to heal him?

Elrond is promoted to the rank Commander. He has never had this many lives in his hands. He has never had to make choices like this. Set during the Siege of Barad-Dur. Featuring Elrond, Gil-Galad, Thranduil, Erestor, Glorfindel, and some OC's. Rating may go up for gore and violence.

Gandalf is brought to the ElvenKings tent after the battle of the five armies, but doesn't find at all what he was expecting to.

While on a father/son holiday in Mirkwood, Thranduil and Legolas come across something that, unbeknownst to Thranduil, will play an important role in his future. But of course, Legolas has a sense about these things... (UPDATED)

Thranduil makes the long journey home after the Last Alliance. Written for the January 2017 Teitho prompt Resolutions. It placed 1st.

While the men of the West converged to march a war against Sauron in Mordor, other fell creatures marched into the lands in the North. Thranduil, Dain and Brand face the evil creeping into their kingdoms. They gather their people in an attempt to fight.
