I have a lot of random little ideas that pop into my head - so this will be a collection of all those little stories. Each chapter will be a stand alone story (unless stated otherwise). Some will be from prompts, others will be just random ideas. I do not own or profit from these characters, anything you recognise is not mine.

A fluffy fic that was inspired by a memory of mine.

Fresh off a summer spent healing from a near-fatal bullet wound, Kate Beckett meets a handsome man at a bar, and finds that one night can give her more than she bargained for. A meeting AU set in season 4, for Castle Ficathon 2024. COMPLETE

A shadow moves in his office, and he sighs in relief when he recognizes Kate's silhouette. She's standing at the window, the wine glass replaced by a tumbler, the ambient light from outside the only illumination in the room. A 4x07 post-ep AU. COMPLETE

Captain Kate Beckett still can't figure it out. Two days ago, Richard Castle was just a name on a bookshelf. And then he crashed her case and claimed he knew her. Said they were in a relationship. Not only that, he took two bullets to the chest—saved her life. And he did it because he loves her? How the hell is that possible? A 7x06, "The Time of Our Lives" AU.

Victoria Gates was always so careful. But what she's looking at in her hands is nothing that she expected. She needs help so she turns to the one person who knows the ins and outs of her current situation

He doesn't mean to fall in love. But when Rick's daughter begins to take fencing lessons, he can't help his attraction to her coach. It doesn't take long before he realizes that their attraction is mutual, but will she let her past get in the way of their future? COMPLETE

This is the ninth story in the Different Road Taken AU. Set weeks after the departure of Elena Markov, our favorite friends and residents try to enjoy just another ordinary day . . . if there could ever be one. This story adheres to the new ratings system, and is rated M - not for sexual content, but for language and story themes. It is not for those under the age of 16.

Taking the idea of a one night stand before the show started and running with it. Most of the events...at least the cases...will be happening as they did on the show. However, personal relationships are going to be different. So...slightly AU I guess. But I detest writing police work, so it's easier to just refer back to the episodes. Plus, there's a lot in the show to play with!

"We'll get there. We'll find our way home." On his first night home, Castle learns just how difficult it might be to get back to where he and Beckett were before. Post 7x01, Caskett.

On the eve of his last day at the precinct, Castle gets some advice from an unlikely source. A 2x24 AU ficlet. Caskett, outside POV.

"Sorrow tugs at her heart; though she has come to expect his absence, waking up without him isn't any easier today. This isn't how it was supposed to be." An angstier, AU version of the latter bit of season 8 and beyond. Caskett.

AU. When a teenage girl is found orphaned after both of her parents are murdered, Beckett struggles to find the girl more family. When the DNA results return Beckett as a match, she quickly realizes the young girl is the baby she gave up for adoption. Set during season 6.

This is rated M because of a graphic description (not sexual content).

Consider this hiatus boot camp. Post-ep for Squab. "Castle, in case you weren't paying attention, we've just been tested. Eric Vaughn was sent to test us," she tells him earnestly. "By whom? God? The universe?" he scoffs, still clinging to the pretense that he doesn't know what she's getting at. "You don't even believe in that stuff." COMPLETE

On Castle's birthday, Castle, Beckett, Esposito, Lanie, Ryan and Jenny decide to play a drinking game! Here's what ensues...

Based on a prompt: What if the crime in the alley scene in 'Always' had nothing to do with Kate's shooting or her mom's murder. And the John Woo marathon went ahead. Would Kate show up at the loft and what happens next? "His footfalls greet her like an approaching army, striking fear and terror, laced with excitement and something that feels suspiciously like arousal, within her."

Four years can make a world of difference. AU.

Mild Spoilers for 5x09 "Secret Santa" "This Christmas is going to be awesome!" he declares, pressing his fingers over his mouth to contain the excitement that looks ready to fly out of him and race around the room somewhere near the ceiling, like the witch in the Wizard of Oz. "There's such a look of absolute relief on his face when he answers the door to her that Kate allows him to draw her inside by the elbow and enfold her in an all-encompassing hug. "So…" whispered Kate, a slight smile curving her lips and threatening to break wide open like the sun bursting free of a cloud, "you wanna talk about it?" she asked tentatively, looking up at him from beneath dark lashes. With no quest and no job there is still a summer to fill, for Kate Beckett that means everything right now is just . . . Castle. Expect snippets of a summer, of a relationship evolving and a love growing confident.
