Ash knew the Pokémon he wanted to train wouldn't endear him to the world. He'd be judged and mistrusted at best, ostracized and possibly even arrested at worst. But he had to try. He never expected that his journey would have such high stakes, or that the Legends would be watching. Closely.

After a freak accident and a near death experience (more like he was dead for a few minutes), Ash had been a magnet for ghost types and been in tune with them. So it didn't surprise anyone when he decided to be a ghost type specialist. What was surprising is that his overprotective mother allowed him to go. Especially with the Mindless out there, people whose mind is just gone.

Ash has always wanted to be a pokemon master. When the time comes for him to pick out his first pokemon, he shocks Professor Oak with a peculiar request. One thing leads to another, and he ends up with a loyal Growlithe. How will this unique situation affect the boy's destiny?
