Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter.
Updated 4-18-2010. Actually, this is the first time I've ever put anything into a profile on this website. Most of the HP fan fiction I've done has been on the harrypotterfanfiction (dot) com website, under the same name as here, mythic77. I am in the process of trying to get all of my various fics onto this website, but I'm an 'old guy' and computers are still a little strange to me. Let's put it this way: When I was in graduate school and had to work with computers and take a programming course, we used PUNCH CARDS! I'll get it right eventually.
When I started writing HP fan fiction, I was a pretty dedicated Harry/Ginny shipper, and this was just at the time when HBP first came out. I'm also someone who likes a certain amount of structure and a "build up to it" approach to personal relationships. HBP and Dreadful Hollering cured me of that expectation from JKR. My personal opinion is that both books sucked, and the fact that HBP sucked was much clearer after Dreadful Hollering. I wasn't super happy with OotP, but it did make sense in context. The next two? Pfftt. Harry, from GoF actually regressed. He was a better, more powerful wizard after year four than he was at the end of year seven, and book seven could well have been designed by Rube Goldberg (check him out on Wikipedia). It sure didn't have any relationship with much that went on in the first books. The plot holes are large enough to drive the Hogwarts Express through. I wouldn't give even money that JKR actually wrote books six and seven, and the Epilogue was as bad as an Unforgivable curse. The Harry Potter universe is marvelous, and we are all indebted to JKR for creating it. That world was created in books I, II, III, and IV. Forgive me for thinking she lost her way somewhere during the OotP.
