Author has written 1 story for Homer.

This account is for the sole purpose of showing my one existing fan-fic. I don't plan on writing any others.

But, anyway, if you'd like to check out the other stories I've written, take a look at http://www.fictionpress.com/~dkat.

Name: Kat

Gender: Female

Age: XX (I'd rather not say.)

Writing History: Been writing for three years now and don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

Quote: Don't fall too hard. You'll break your face.

Likes: Writing (of course), reading, cats (I will be the next crazy cat lady, just you wait). Suspenseful stories, sci-fi, action and adventure. Constructive critiquing. Reviews make me happy, occasionally. =) Definitely an up-side. Oh, and the color purple. (And light green and sky blue.) XD

Dislikes: Charries that are not well written--two-dimensional. Romance stories. Uck. And school stories about teens/kids with no special powers/abilities, etc. Site spammers. The color pink. And Hannah Montana. Don't get me started, peeps. -_-"

Favorite Authors: C.S. Lewis, Margaret Peterson Haddix, Scott Westerfeld, Ted Dekker.

Favorite Books: Double Identity, Turnabout, Shadow Children Series (Margaret Peterson Haddix), Black, Red, Infidel, Showdown, Saint, Skin (Ted Dekker), Uglies, Pretties, Extras (Scott Westerfeld), The Horse and His Boy, The Last Battle (C.S. Lewis).

Favorite Book of All Time: Adam (Ted Dekker)

Favorite Movies: Martian Child and August Rush.

Favorite Bands/Music: Switchfoot, Toby Mac, Relient K, Apologetix, The Narnia (The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe) Soundtrack, POTC--The Black Pearl Soundtrack, and The WaterHorse Soundtrack. (Soundtracks are the best writing music, I've found.)

Poseidon's Son

This was an assignment for my C Lit. class. So . . . I went a little overboard with it. Oops. The original idea was to write a 'short story.' =) I missed that standard by, oh, a couple thousand . . . but I hope you like it anyway. Enjoy.

"I have ideas, I'm just too lazy to get them out of my head." -- Twila

"Don't let honesty lose you." -- J.

"For when we do what we were most created for, it is then that we are most contented and time itself seems to come to a halt." -- S.K.

"God works through people to bring about His truth." -- Fova

"We Cyclopes care not a whistle for your thundering Zeus, or all the gods . . . we have more force by far." -- Polyphemus (Pride before the fall, I say)

" . . . happy are those who hear the teaching of God and obey it." -- Jesus Christ

Bible Verse(s)

Proverbs 31:30

"Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised."

Isaiah 43:4-5

"You are precious and honored in my sight and I love you . . . (5) Do not be afraid for I am with you."

Jude 24-25

"To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with joy--to the only God out Savior be glory, majesty, power, and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen
