Author has written 1 story for Supernatural.
Brothers and the talented actors who play them, hooked me on a show about two grown men whose loved-ones give them both their strength and their Achilles heels. For Coven, the first and only piece of fanfiction I've ever written, I researched everything from Wicca, to snowmobiles, to herb lore. I found I just couldn't include things in my story that I knew nothing about. My locations are all real, although they may have been discovered in one city and plunked down into another. And since creative licence is a writer's prerogative, I took some liberties with the Supernatural canon. Fun twists.
A Jill of many trades, I've made my living as an actress, bartender, Mrs. Fields Cookies store manager, dental assistant, and theater house manager. For the past several years, I've worked in a public library, feeding my book addiction. The jobs I've stuck with the longest, because they feed my soul are: wife to the man who completes me and mother to two terrific young men. I think my sons are what made me vulnerable to Supernatural's brother-love whammy.
In the year that it took me to finish Coven, I discovered two passions, research and writing. My fabulous experience with the FF community hooked me on writing in a very big way. Since I finished posting I've been working on original projects. Nothing published yet, but hopefully someday, you'll find my work in the Young Adult section of your favorite book store.
I love finding out that even after all these years, people are still reading Coven. I hope that you'll give it a go. It was my first novel and truly a labor of love. Take the plunge. It's a wild ride!
And, amazingly, Coven is an award winner!! I was blown away to receive the Supernatural Fan Fiction Monthly Award for February 2016 in the Novel/Romance OFC category. Check out all of the winners and nominees on BlackIceWitche's great forum. Do you have a story to nominate for next month?
