Author has written 1 story for Supernatural.
I've had fan-fiction in my head for years. Who knew that my obsessive musing had a name?
In the year that it took me to finish Coven, I found that I have a passion for research and writing. I think I'll keep it up. In fact, since I finished posting Coven, I've been working on an original novel. It's called BridgeKeeper. Hopefully someday, you'll find it in the Young Adult section of your favorite book store.
I've had lots of jobs in my life: actress, bartender, Mrs. Fields Cookies store manager, dental assistant, theater house manager and lately, I work in a library, feeding my book addiction. The jobs I've stuck with the longest, because they feed my soul are: wife to the man who completes me and mother to two terrific young men. I think my sons are what made me vulnerable to Supernatural's brother-love whammy.
Brothers and the talented actors who play them, hooked me on a show about two grown men whose loved-ones gave them both their strength and their Achilles heels. Oh, and I'm a sucker for action too. I really appreciate a well choreographed fight scene. For Coven, I researched everything from Wicca, to snowmobiles, to herb lore. I found I just couldn't include things in my story that I knew nothing about. My locations are all real, although they may have been discovered in one city and plunked down into another. Creative licence is a writer's prerogative after all.
I love finding out that even after all these years, people are still reading Coven. I've become a much better writer since I posted it, but I hope that you'll give it a go. It was my first novel and truly a labor of love. Take the plunge. It's a wild ride!
