Author has written 1 story for Gilmore Girls.
About me: I'm a 23 year old married dog groomer from Florida. I'm pretty sensitive, and I get stage fright pretty easily. I don't really share my creative streaks with anyone, this would be a first for me.
My writing style: I like to write my characters a bit ooc. I feel as if there were some errors to the essence of the characters, and so I have sought out to correct those wrongs through fanfiction. There just wasn't enough emotion in the last 3 seasons if you ask me. You might have noticed that my writing is wrought with emotion, to the point where the character's personality might be affected. Just call it overcompensation for the 3 years of torture I endured with Luke and Lorelai walking around like robots. Another thing: lack of character growth. I'm sorry, when Lorelai went back to Christopher at the end of Season Six, it was completely idiotic! She had already had years of experience of being disappointed by Christopher, why go back to him and ruin a decade long relationship and foundation of trust in one night? Also, I think even the shock of having a daughter wouldn't have completely pulled Luke away from what he thought was a goddess. Sure, there might have been some faltering, but I would like to think he would have returned to her side long before the show's version.
I love flowery language and an extensive vocabulary. In my future pieces, I might try to ease up on the corniness, but I'm certainly going all out for my first piece. I figure I'd let you all see what I was all about before settling to business. Blake's Songs of Innocence and Experience were a huge influence on His Broken Angel as it lent several pieces of imagery to my writing.
I love Angst. This probably won't be my last piece with Lorelai in trouble and Luke saving the day. I consider myself a highly emotional person, and I hope it shows in my writing. When I start writing a story that shows Lorelai's true personality and dialog, it will be quite a challenge for me- as witty repartee has never really been my thing.
His Broken Angel is my first attempt at fanfiction, so please be sure to leave a review- and be gentle please!
