Greetings, felicitations, and Jolan Tru! Don't panic; I've just updated my name in honor of three of my favorite fandoms: Minerva after Professor Minerva McGonagall, Deanna after Counselor Deanna Troi, and Bond after 007 himself.
First thing you need to know about me is that I'm a Christian and unashamed of it - Jesus is my Lord, my Savior, and my Rock, and He will always be with me through the good times and the bad, no matter what. He won't walk out on me when the world does. Second, I'm a big-time Trekkie and unashamed of that too, believe it or not. My two favorite characters are Lt. Commander Data and Counselor Deanna Troi, and I'm a Data/Deanna shipper - probably the only fanfiction author out there who is. Needless to say, I've written a few stories about the relationship that could have been between Data and Deanna, and I hope TNG fans will check them out.
Third, I'm a friend. Friendship is a priceless gift from God, one that should be treasured for life. As it is said in Proverbs 27:17, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." If you've been blessed with true friends, cherish them for life. You're blessed beyond measure if you can count your friends on one hand. And speaking of friendship, I love the show Laverne & Shirley, which portrays one of the best examples of true friendship I've ever seen. People today can learn what real friendship should be from these wonderful, wacky girls from Milwaukee.
Fourth, I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, and my all-time favorite character from the books and the movies is Professor Minerva McGonagall, because she's loyal, courageous, powerful, and has a beautiful heart and a wicked sense of humor beneath that stern outer shell. Oh, and need I mention that Maggie Smith is the most awesome actress ever and plays McGonagall perfectly? My Harry Potter stories are going to focus primarily on the relationship between Harry and McGonagall, because I've always believed that they have a special relationship - heck, I was one of the fans who always thought McGonagall was Harry's godmother, and I still do. So if you're a fan of Harry and McGonagall, you've come to the right place.
Picard/Beverly - The ultimate canon pairing from Star Trek: The Next Generation, one that didn't get explored half as much as I (and countless other fans) would have liked on the show. Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Dr. Beverly Crusher were meant for each other, plain and simple - the level-headed yet passionate starship captain and the loyal, loving physician who wasn't afraid to fight for those she loved. Picard filled the hole in Bev's heart that was left after her husband Jack died, and she brought out a warmth in him that nobody else could.
Data/Deanna (Datroi) - My all-time favorite non-canon pairing from Star Trek: TNG, a relationship that could have been. I hated the pairing of Worf and Deanna in Season 7; what the heck were the writers smoking when that decision was made? I think pairing Deanna with Data would have been such an interesting concept - an empath and an android who really did bring out the best in each other. Think about it - Data was constantly teaching Deanna how to look at emotion and humanity in many unique, subtle ways, and I personally believe that although Geordi was Data's best friend, it was Deanna who understood him best. She was the one whom he went to with many of his questions about humanity and emotion. The episode that could have been used as a springboard for this pairing is "Phantasms" from Season 7, in which Data has weird nightmares and comes to Deanna about them, but he later stabs her while he's under the influence of the nightmare. At the end of the episode, Deanna forgives him and the two of them share a cake together in his quarters. And let's not forget the precious moment in the Season 3 episode "Tin Man," where Deanna hugs Data around the shoulders as the two of them gaze out at the stars together, as well as "The Child" in Season 2, where Data stands in as the father during Deanna's delivery. He stays by her side, holding her hand, and I love what Deanna says to him: "You don't have to do anything, Data. Just be with me." If those are not subtly romantic scenes, I don't know what are.
Arthur/Molly - Mr. and Mrs. Weasley from the Harry Potter stories, and how cute are these two? I remember seeing a picture on Facebook that said something along the lines of "Everybody says they want a love like Bella and Edward, but I want a love like Mr. and Mrs. Weasley," and I totally agree with that! Arthur and Molly have their quirks - he's laid-back and Muggle-obsessed, and she's the disciplinarian - but above all, they are a couple with an intensely strong marriage, who hold their family together with love, pride, and, in the final book, warrior ferocity, fighting to keep their children safe.
Bond/M (00M) - Call me crazy, but I can actually picture these two together - Judi Dench's M with Daniel Craig's James Bond, that is. M and Pierce Brosnan's Bond, to me, had more of the antagonistic mother/son relationship, but I could actually sense a much deeper relationship between M and Daniel's Bond. M is the only woman who can slap Bond down a few pegs when he needs it, and she's the only woman who actually understands him. Bond respects her despite their differences, and it's obvious he really does care for her very much, especially in Skyfall. Yes, she's old enough to be his mother, but do we really know how old M is? Or Bond, for that matter? No other woman has ever gotten as close to Bond as M has; touched his heart like she has.
Mary/Matthew - Possibly my favorite couple from Downton Abbey (and everyone else's). I love how even though Mary's made mistakes in her past, Matthew loves her for who she is and doesn't judge her. If anything, I believe he thinks that her past has made her a better person - and that she has come to love him even more because of it.
Robert/Cora - These two are so sweet! They may be the perfect image of a Victorian couple on the outside, but Robert and Cora are two people who genuinely love and respect each other - something rare in a marriage both then and now.
Carson/Mrs. Hughes - I know these two are not officially together, but there's such a deep, unspoken bond between them that you can't help but get the feeling that they love each other very much. After all, when Carson came down with the Spanish flu, Mrs. Hughes was right there by his side, and when she had her cancer scare and learned that she was all right, Carson was singing to celebrate.
Bates/Anna - Thank God they're finally together again! I can't wait to see where their relationship is going to go from here, although I have the warm, fuzzy feeling they're going to fall even more in love than before, if the look on Bates' face as he watched Anna dancing at the ghillies' ball is anything to go by.

How to Tell if You're a Writer
-If you talk to yourself.
-If you talk to yourself about talking to yourself (i.e. ‘I wonder why I talk to myself so much?’)
-If, when you talk to yourself, you sometimes speak as if talking to another person (i.e. ‘Okay, so have you ever noticed that the word ‘deliver’ could mean removing someone’s liver?’)
-If, after uttering a profound piece of wisdom like that above, you stare at the cookie in your hand in awe and say, ‘Wow, this is good stuff for sugar highs!’
-If you live off of sugar and caffeine.
-If people start to notice that you tend to check your e-mail every day for a week, then suddenly disappear off the face of the planet.
-If your e-mails tend to be pages long and incredibly random.
-If, when replying to someone else’s e-mail, you are sometimes so random that you fail to address the original message altogether.
-If you tend to collect the Bic Stics people leave lying around, kind of like picking pennies off the ground.
-If, no matter where you are in your room, you never have to so much as get up to reach a pen/pencil and paper.
-If the letters are starting to wear off on the keys of your keyboard.
-If people think you might have A.D.D.
-If you think it’d be cool to have A.D.D.
-If you start constantly talking in third person, past tense.
-If you think about making lists like this, and start giggling for no ‘apparent’ reason.
-If your friends don’t even bother to look funny at you anymore when you start giggling for no apparent reason.
-And finally, the number one way to tell if you’re a good writer: If you worship English 101.

Glenlaurel Manor:This was the beautiful house that was my model for Avalon, Bond's country home in my story "Forever Love." I know this house is in the States, but it really has the feel of a Scottish country cottage - and it seems so perfect and cozy for two. Click this one for a look at Glenlaurel at Christmas:
"White Christmas"and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" by Kenny G: These are the Christmas instrumentals that were playing during the gift scene in "Forever Love." They're absolutely perfect for setting a romantic Christmas mood.
M's cranberry pearl necklace:I'd be jealous of M in this case - these are the most beautiful and unique pearls I've ever seen.
